Orange Delight

>> Posting in an Apple store is not my really my thing namely because without having my bum imprint on a seat, I can't quite think properly.  Still, when it's a piccy post that just consists of two beautiful gals who spread rays of sunshine orange in their own way, there's hardly any articulation required.  Jewellery designer Michelle Jank at the Acne show yesterday was bedazzling me with all her pieces, proving that a lot of the time, the designer can be the most effective walking sandwich board for their own work.  Plus, there's an orange-red shade of lippie there that needs to be investigated even by a beauty fool such as myself.

Another beauty related pic?  No!  This can't be!  Actually I like to call what designer Louise Gray does to her eyes, Eye Art Attack.  Annoyingly she also did it in the car which shows she's naturally adept at smearing just the right amount of each shade on.  It's the eye equivalent of my Happy Filler outfit that I wore on Saturday and relating back to her own designs, she is definitely her own muse, and good for her for not needing to reach out to random references when she can look to herself for inspiration.

  1. For the lipstick, my money’s on that being Lady Danger from MAC. They also do one called Morange which is worth a look too.
Lovely post, as ever. Need more Michelle Jank in my life!

  2. Clarins of all brands do a nice version of the orange red lipstick! I think it was called Clementine… it seemed a bit younger and fresher than the MAC shade.

  3. I’ve dubbed this week orange week. The color keeps popping up everywhere, and I couldn’t be more pleased. Thanks for the lovely post.

  4. That eye makeup is so pretty! I love how it almost looks like a young child applied it, but it is very sophisticated in a way also.

  5. Michelle Jank looks amazing. I love the way the lipstick and black jacket compliment her necklace! she’s very inspiring 🙂

  6. I adore the eyes. Also the eyeshadow ant Thakoon was amazing. I’m wondering if there’s a way to do these bright colors in a more subtle manner.

  7. Susie – any chance you can get us some kind of voucher for London Fashion Weekend tickets? Would love to go..if the entry price wasn’t so ridiculous!
