Let it Rain and Snow

>> I don't need multiple Burberry Prorsum black trim plastic rain capes in uniform formation as seen at the magical finale of today's A/W 11-12 show.  I just need the one thanks for me to easily wipe off ketchup stains, bird poo and other clumsy disasters that ofen occur with me.  Ta very much!

P.S. Ouch at the ยฌยฃ795 pricetag but kudos to Burberry for getting it up online as soon as the show ends just to make the whole wanting experience even more painful.

  1. Just bought something really similar from Topshop but raincoat smaincoat, if it rains then you go with the flo and get wet.

  2. Wow that is one hefty price tag though if I owned that cape I guess I’d wish for rain a bit more often than I currently do.

  3. ahahah you’re completely right!
I thought the same when I saw those capes.
And they are also gorgeous ๐Ÿ™‚

  4. I live in the rural countryside, and I think sometimes my family despair when we go for walks and I emerge wearing a below the knee lace skirt or an ‘impractical’ vintage coat along with my wellies – so something like that rain cape would serve me well! I feel its got more than a hint of great-grandma meets Twiggy. However, until it’s affordable to me, I’ll have to stick to a bog-standard rain coat.
I really liked lots of the elements of this Burberry collection, such as all the bow details and gorgeous structure of the pieces. Oh and of course the colours!
I saw you several times at London Fashion Week, and wanted to stop and tell you how much I liked your blog – mainly because it is so well written, and also because your approach to style is truly individual. However, you looked like you were on your way to a show, and I didn’t want to stop you, as I know it can be quite hard to make your way out of Somerset House if there are a lot of photographers and people around!
Oh and thank you for your reply to a comment I made a while ago (about Christopher Kane). I’m slightly disappointed that I haven’t (as far as I know) come across a fashion show this season titled “The Queen on crack” or something along those lines – I was hoping that a third reference to monarchy-on-intoxicants might have turned the whole thing into a trend!

  5. Wonderful item and excellent suits!
I think I will call this season Burberry Prorsum my favourite!
    Thanks for sharing dear!

  6. oh, this little transparent thing is really too cute. the price is not ๐Ÿ™ but yes, it has written “susie bubble” all over it. ๐Ÿ™‚

  7. You know I think Burberry has lost it, Aquascutum all the way! This was literally the only thing I picked up on and tbh I felt it looked very vintage looking… Still think that it looks great despite its questionable inspiration (and price tag!)

  8. My niece wanted her “sign in” to be a scrapbook page so I used the “ruled” patterned page within this pack and created this 12 x 12 layout as the companion for a two page spread.
