Dancing Threads in the Rain

Apologies for the rather lacklustre outfit I've pulled out of the bag today… but the main point isn't the dishevelled suitcase-stuffed layers below but the cardigan by Ehcoparty 1982 (nothing online about this supposedly London-based label…) which is a threaded map where should I be bored at a bus stop, I can try and see if country borders could be traced on the embroidered lines…

… I haven't done it justice in today's half-asleep, half jet-lagged state but at least I can relieve boredom… see LINES… lots of SQUIGGLY lines…

In other embroidered bits and bobs, I thought the cardi would have a good time paired with these Bebaroque Priscilla leggings… more squiggly linesto follow with the added extras of beads and pearls…

Speaking of Pixie Market (because we're NOT gonna speak about the non-event of an outfit above…), I finally went to the physical store, the space behind the website which is something of a militant ticking time bomb.  Item goes live… goes onto a couple of blogs… poof… item gone…. sad face SOLD OUT sign pops up.  Sound familiar?  I'm sure plenty of you can testify to that happening.

That said, meeting Magda and Gaelle, the gals behind this indie label gem of a site, the flow of stock is kept pretty regular and they are buying and delivering stock throughout the year so even if sad sold out sign does pop up, something else will quickly come in and fill that shopper's void in my empty cold coal of a shallow heart.

Stock goes up so fast that things come into the physical store (as well as their off-site warehouse…) and may be online, or it may not… or maybe it's been sold to someone on the other side of the world…  I now can't spy this Ehcoparty 1982 aqua shirt on the left but the Carin Wester jacket (the back detail needs seeing in real life…) is still up…

These Aztec sandals are still up on the site but these Neurotica socks on the right aren't there anymore… it's poof…magic… gone…

What is in at the mo is a selection of Korean label pushButton which I got a look at before it went live last week… that said, some of it is already gone.  I'm not worried though.  The void will be filled again soon enough…

  2. Those leggings are so fantastic, so unique! I love the patterns and detail work on them as well ;]

  3. Firstly, I have to completely disagree, I think your outfit is great, honestly. I really like it. It has a wonderful amount of detail and I love the muted colours. Secondly, I freaking love pixie market. It’s true, whenever I go online and then find something I love, it is literally gone within minutes. It is my favourite site when it comes to how they dress their models. <3

  4. The cardigan is cool, but I really really love the leggings-where is the dress from?
The Carin Wester jacket looks amazing…would love to get my hands on that piece!

  5. I think you are being too hard on yourself Susie! Because I think this outfit is casually fantastic! So comfy, yet chic! A hard line to blur, but you have done it quite nicely. So well done miss Bubble!
