Correcting the Anemones

>> You getting used to this “more posts” thing yet?  I can’t promise I’ll be post-a-flowing everyday but I will damn well try.  It just so happens that post fashion week, there are collections-a-plenty with lookbook images getting shot and pressed out and I’m here to lap it all up.  I talked up Dean Quinn‘s anemone beading a few weeks ago and a-ha… I found out that he was indeed inspired by anemones… the ones breaking down The Piano sinking down to the bottom of the ocean in Jane Campion’s film to be totally specific.  Here are some more official images which I think do the pieces far more justice than my shoddy camera ones did especially because a furry-browed Darya is looking mighty splendid modelling the collection.  And… in addition to the monochrome pieces I posted last time, there are flashes of red and blue seeping through in Dean’s new collection… whaaaaaa?  Non-rigid beading AND colour?  Don’t try and give me heart palpitations… it’s got duck fat coursing through its veins right now…

I didn’t want to end the post with duck fat so in all seriousness, I’m saying that Quinn next season should make a spectacular entrance into LFW me thinks…

  1. I looove Dean Quinn, especially good to see he’s kept with the beading but made it look entirely different. Liking the input of colour this season! And he’s super lovely.

  11. The collection reminds me of some shoulder cuffs I have previously seen. The beading is the same but in ivory. Would it be the same person?
