Notes on TS

>> Silly scribbled notes on the Topshop main S/S 10 (not to be confused with the 'transitional spring 2010' images that are already on their Topshop site) lookbook that have invariably been doing the blog rounds…

Headfuck of a day sadly requires a satisfying chubby fat marker to produce illegible handwriting, marker marks and not very eloquent notes…

  1. Obsessed with the “Just Got Up & Shoved This On” look. Slip dresses are going to be my answer to jeans come spring.

  2. Peep toe high heeled cowboy boots. PEEP TOE HIGH HEELED COWBOY BOOTS?? Topshop are really testing me. I do quite like the peach and pastels running through this though.

  3. Liking these alot more than the trans-seasonal spring lookbook images that they have recently released. These are alot more edgy showing Topshop at it’s best!
I Love your scribbly notes, always getting told in uni to let go and just write down what I think, You may see it as ‘not very eloquent’ but I think they are inspirational and free!

  4. I saw this yesterday and was also trying to figure out what was going on with the fringy thing!

  5. indeed…! what to wear underneath to keep lower boobs from showing…?! At least the cutting at Prada was a little more, ahem, generous.

  6. Peach, im so in love with it (although there were some peachy golden globe fashion disasters). The batik trousers should be the other way round, me think (blue on top, orange on bottom); curtain fringing… not sure. Come on, Topshop, let me have a go!!!

  7. Definite yay for knee length, just because it’s short doesn’t mean it’s better, i want to see more people challenge their style by not having to reveal a bumcheek for attention…

  8. I actually love the sheer full bodied stocking. The way its styled in such a long lean column strikes me as strangely graceful especially with the hair sleeked back. More a margiela piece than topshop!

  9. I heard that bum bags were on their way back. Love the sheer trousers. I just bought a mesh pencil skirt and I really love it. I agree, this looks more interesting than the spring look books on their website.

  10. The sheer trousers, the awesome ombre pants. Oh and the dress. Provided I figured out how to prevent lower cleavage showing.. Otherwise. LOVE

  11. I’m OBSESSED with the cutout ribcage area lately, have sketched about a million designs with this detail, and I’ve been wondering the same thing, how to make it enough of a cut out to “mean” something, yet not show too much under boob cleavage. Layering is probably the answer, or sheer mesh…Sheer mesh actually solves many problems in life in general.

  12. honestly i think underboob cleavage looks nice but is for sure hard to deal with publicly sometimes. i like the sheer mesh tube dress. and the peach slip situation. and agree with the comment that i now can’t find, about slips for spring. as for bumbags, do they ever go away? nah. i think they are always quietly hanging in there.

  13. Mallory: These are sent to members of press I think….
SwanDiamondRose: Hmmm….I think it all depends on the shape of the boobs….

  14. That’s fucking hilarious! ‘femme Hans Madsen’… some of it actually frighteningly looks good! oh Mercy and Percil

  15. Maybe lower boob, with upper boob…could combine to form the new cleavage? =)

  16. Topshop?seriously?
Im in love w the curtain fall dress and the other one that might show a lower boob…!!when?

  17. sheer trews!!!!!!!!! finally!!! ah topshop always get round to a trend, i always end up buying something not quite perfect early and then topshop always bring it out perfectly in the end
