>> Ok so I blew my own orienteering trumpet a bit and now I'm eating my words together with a mouthful of Belgian waffle and a slick of sticky chocolate sauce. In fact, Steve and I came LAST in the treasure hunt, either faffing around for too long at each location, being completely distracted or just not keeping check of time. Whatever the reason, together with Miss Glitzy (sorry for dragging you down into the depths of loser-dom), we got the least amount of subsequent spending money but hey at least I got this lousy collage out of it eh?
I'll be writing up some other tidbits of Antwerp shopper's delight but our designated treasure hunt included the following…
Theo Eyewear – Their in-house label of glasses was all laser-cuts, interesting shapes and MULTITUDE of colours. Must.Have.Metal.Guard.Visor.Glasses.
In Fine – A parfumerie where err…budding Jean-Baptiste Grenouille-esque characters would have a ball.
Delvaux – Glad that Veronique Braquinho has taken on the creative directorship and I'll be popping into the Delvaux exhibition at MOMU tomorrow.
Verso – Labels, labels, labels… dome dome dome.
Louis, Lombardenstraat 2 – The list of labels can be found in the collage below but they were the first to start stocking the Antwerp Six.
A Boon, Leopoldplaats 12 – I've found out that I'm a size 6 and a half in gloves and that I have a really strong grip.
Fish and Chips – I remember writing about this store when I first waxed lyrical about Antwerp on the blog but me thinks my tastes have somewhat changed since then.
Labels Inc – Still one of my first stops in Antwerp though it does depend on the day what's there… I spied the Miu Miu strappy pumps but sadly they were a size too big.
Elsa – There was a marbled patent effect on a pair of round toed shoes that I loved.
wow that is a long long collage. Loved the Theo sunglasses π
Love all the photos!

Ah, this is just what I excpected from Antwerp: overpriced second hand shit & gorgeous yet unaffordable designer shit. Boo π looks like I’ll never love Antwerp XD
Great collage x

I was there for a trip recently, it is such a great city!
lovely collage!
I live near to Antwerp, so I go there quite a lot!
It is really nice to see that you actually go to the stores I go to!
It’s kind of funny!
I really want to go to the Delvaux exhibition in the MoMu,
it must be wonderful!
Shame you didn’t win, but looks like a great way to spend the day. Never considered Antwerp for shopping but I am now.

Photos gβΒ©niales ! Je veux la gauffre !!!!
Looks awesome! Makes me really feel bad about that I had to cancel the trip to Antwerp a few days ago, but I’ll definitely go soon anyway ^^
I laughed out loud when I saw your picture from the “Stadsfeestzaal” in Antwerp! That’s were I do all my grocery shopping since I’m living only a few metres away from Antwerp’s main shopping street. It’s my first year in Antwerp as a student! If I would have met you in person I certainly would have given you a shy smile of recognition π
You didn’t drag me down! I was as distracted as you were and enjoyed spending time in the various locations with you guys. Love your collage and agree with you on the marble patent effect on Elsa’s shoes.

Fab collage. Would have loved to go but had work commitments (and then was ill anyway. Grrr)…
You should visit the SN3 in Antwerp.
It’s a store where they sell Louboutin, Gucci, Prada, Miu Miu, Balenciaga, … & they have a passage straight into the Chanel store.

Labels Inc is still my fave store in Antwerp!
I loved Antwerp for the shopping when I went, but I found the people really rude. They would stare at me in the street for looking a little “different”, and in the restaurants they would stop eating and all turn around and stare. I’m not even that different!!
^Really?? I encountered no problems whatsoever not that I was that outlandishly dressed as i was slumming it over the weekend… I found Antwerp really really friendly… maybe a few arched eyebrows from the older folks but that’s a given anywhere you go…
Yeah, I went with uni about 3 years ago. It was a quiet time though (probably early january), there weren’t many tourists around. I get odd looks wherever I go, but we ended up finding it funny blatant they were.
Great post! You look amazing, I love those leggings π
xo
