I’m not really that bothered about showing the crap/shit side of me. Yes, bloggers don’t really hold their hands on their hips and look cutesy and coquettish all the time nor do they constantly stand with never-ending legs and look icily cool with perfectly tousled/straightened (depending on the mood) hair. May I present greasy, mussy hair, undereye bags, oily blotchy skin despite having not put on ANY make-up for the past two weeks or so and severely cracked lips. I’m not even going to go there about the stuff going on inside my body.
I may not have been in New York but I might as well have been, looking at countless of catwalk/backstage images, reading show reports and generally getting all into NYFW… without actually being there (hence the non blog-posting/commenting…. apologies guys…). So the fashion circus has come around to London and I have precisely a day to somehow remedy the left… it ain’t gonna happen of course so I will be scraping myself into something vaguely presentable and getting out there after last season’s washout.
Now where are those cold teaspoons for the eyes?

are these what i think they are?! show invites?! how…how?!
i’m sure honey and lemon is in your company, a fan right here! maybe the thought of all us less fortunate people can be a comfort as you plan your day at the shows?
Even the most fun events can be blah when you’re feeling gross. Hope you feel better soon enough to enjoy some of the shows! But don’t push yourself too hard, you will only make yourself worse, good luck!
might bump into you at some point this week. i’ll be the one in the shit clothes with the massive eyebags and the Z1 camera.
strictly working though and feeling/looking so terrible that i’m not looking forward to it much.
As much as I sympathize for you and hope you get better Susie, it’s a teeeeeeeensy bit hard to give you my sympathy when I’ve got a throat so sore I can barely talk whereas you have all those lovely show invites. Yes, I’m jealous.
Defintely not seeking sympathy here….
KD, hope you feel better… I am going to shows for the love of it and for work but I just wish…I did not look so ill-prepared physically beforehand…
Kirsty: Which shows you going to?!
Hannah: Tis for work…
Look at all those invitations! It’s nice to be loved!
You’re looking pretty good to me.
Ms Susie you still look pretty damn to me! At least you don’t have to worry about pimples too much. (?)
Are you drinking a lot of water?I think it helps alot.I’m so glad the NY shows are over! Good luck!!
Aiya maybe you should drink ginseng tea thingy or Chrysanthamum tea with honey that might help.
Seems like you’re going to be very very busy to see the shows, I won’t be seeing much. Last time I went it was hardcore, had no food for must of the days so mines going to be quite flexible (which I like)…seeing 9 shows over the three days, hope to bump into you.
feel better soon!
you dont look half bad. ha that’s actually how i look every morning when i have to get up at 5:30am and face a 2 hour commute to get to uni. ah how i love the western suburbs of sydney…
Awwww! You look like a 12 year old. Very endearing.
Well if that’s you on a bad day…Aw, but there’s nothing worse that doing the shows when you feel sh1t. Make sure you take food with you to perk you up! I’ll be out and about too, look out for me 🙂
yep, i wish i looked that good without makeup… before you know it, you’ll be such a pro at this whole fashion week business,
wow so much invitations!

Yuu’re so lucky! 🙂
Hope you feel better soon, at least your hair still look lovely in a tousled sort of way 🙂
lucky lucky you! can’t wait to hear the reports.
ah well, not a bad spot to be in eh? I remember when you first started posting at tfs and started the blog and were just really in love in fashion, even now, you may be ill, but you’ve got all those shows invites and are really right in the thick of it. I’m sure that’s some comfort! Hope you feel better soon! My boyfriend’s amazing cure is several tablespoons of honey, a couple slices of lemon, throw in 5 or so cloves, top up with hot water. So tasty and really soothing!
LOL…factor in the time difference and I’ll be fighting you for those tea spoons.
btw I’ve started tuning to Dazed and I’m enjoying all that you’ve been getting up.
get some jasmone tea down your neck and maybe a detox smoothie and have an early night that’ll do the trick! how exciting having all those invites!!
take a breather!!
Oh I Love you Susie, ‘bloggers don’t really hold their hands on their hips and look cutesy and coquettish all the time’.
