Now I know some people are going to recoil at horror at what looks to be the sort of novelty boots that could only have come about in decades past. It’s a sort of Dragon’s Den style bright/dumb brainwave that manifested itself into those boots that came with a snap on purse around the calves for ‘handy’ nigths out when you don’t want to carry change…. except they looked quite hideous.
Here, someone thought that a FOUR in ONE boot would most definitely work. From thigh high to ankle in three zip-off actions. Four fruity Sugas sweet colours into one. Now…. *deep breath*…. I’m sort of loving these…
If I was to seriously and studiously delve into thigh high boot territory, they’d be black leather stiletto things that need a lot of serious study to make them work. So I’d rather do the ‘funny boots’ thing instead with these. The colour combination is already giving me starry eyes thinking what I could do with them.
Of course they are coming from the mighty powerful eBay seller Indie Cult Vintage, which caused a riot last time I posted about them (FYI…. if competitors want to spread rumours that’s fine but I’m just going to read the feedback and judge for myself…), so the price will jack up a bit…. just need to see how far I’d go to get some funny boot action…

Those look like a famous boot that Anne Klein did in the ’80s, though since the seller didn’t identify the brand, I suppose this pair is a copy. An original pair would be a true treasure.
Loving the colours but not too sure I like the 4 boots in 1 concept – I would rather by 4 different pairs of boots and waste loads more money!
God these are somethin’ else arent they?! I’m not too sure how I feel about them though I am enjoying their rainbow lovelyness!
I saw those boots too and almost posted on them as well. SOOOO amazing. I just don’t know how I would pull them off.
Kinda weird and kinda cool at the same time. On the one hand, I love the colours and the innovation. On the other hand, they sort of remind me of Uggs – which I loath. So, Lurve? Haate?… Gah! I can’t make up my mind.
Teehee I think the concept is quite amusing, personally not so into the ice cream sorbet concoction, I don’t know if I’d wear them unzipped at all I like the zip just as a detail.
Goodness me – lady you have to win these because no one else will be able to pull them off. I think I hate them, but reckon they’d work on you in their over the knee state.
I really really really really love these. A lot. Get them. I’m sure you’re one of the few people who can pull them off! 😀
Ew. That’s all I have to say.
Love it and the weird color combination makes its suite because of de weirdness and that the reason why its so nice!! haha
Marc Jacobs did those boots fall 2007
I think I love them…
is it odd that i love these? ahhhh
They’re incredible, and wonderful. I could use some in shades of black-to-chalk, and brown-to-tan.
But… I don’t know, I think they look practical and wearable. I would wear them. I have a friend who would never take them off. They seem like they could be one of those things with versatility that becomes apparent once you’ve owned them for a while. I think they’re lovely, I hope you buy them. Hell, if they were my size I’d bid on them myself.
I just bookmarked these boots this morning!!! I’m heartsick over the fact they are to small. There are three pairs of them on ebay and I’m wondering how small can I make my feet?
i think those boots are pretty awesome, would i wear them. doubt it….
It’s funny how you posted about these…A few weeks ago I saw a black leather pair EXACTLY like these and thought they were kinda cool!
Oh God I can’t even imagine. You know someone would just try and unzip them as you were wearing them.
Hey Susie, obviously Indie Cult Vintage admires your style as much as you do hers… remember this dress?!?! Ebay Item Number: 330228391082….
cute boots
I’ve seen the same boots at MakiMaki and one other vintage eBay store (maybe California Vintage Connection) over the last month; if you don’t pick ’em up here, keep on the look-out because there are obviously a bunch floating around. I personally love them!
(Actually, I think those photos are from MakiMaki’s auction, now that I look properly.)
I love these…! I think this idea should be incorporated into a dress/singlet/crop tank…
xx
I’d buy them just for the colour alone…there’s a bit of ‘WTF’ factor going on there..
I don’t know if I would wear those, but it’s a really great idea ! Thanks for making me discover those boots.
SO COOL!
I think they’re brilliant, although personally, they’re too young for me. They are kind of faddish and gimicky, but to wear for one season I think you could have copious amounts of fun with them.
Oh wow what a great idea! It is one of those ‘why didnt i think of that ideas’ 😉
p.s. congrats on your write up in Aussie Cosmo, you look gorgeous as always
Love these. This concept should be used more.
Reminds me of the tights and socks super-layering a did a while ago.
Do you use toolhaus.org?
It’s great for picking out the negative and neutral feedback.
It looks as though she used to have a lot of trouble and is slowly getting better. I think that the others really did have valid points and weren’t just competitors.
It also looks as though she used to cancel auctions if she felt she wasn’t getting enough money for the item, and that she would lie about pin-sized holes or fake leather to get out of selling the item.
I’m not saying that she’s not a good seller now, just that she had some issues in the past.
I have a pair of these, that I bought off eBay about 3 years ago and have not been able to wear – the seller said they were size 6 but in which part of the universe? because in mine they must be much closer to a size 4. Or possibly even a 3. I am the ugly sister… 🙁
Anyway, I think they’re really fun and I haven’t been able to throw them away because I keep thinking, what if I chopped the ridiculously small boot part off and use the rest? i.e. getting away with it somehow so I can wear them at last.
Any tips?
I really think they look cool all together – very festival chic – but I’m not so keen once you start removing “layers”!
oh yeah… i did see these too… they are indeed a little bit rainbow brite
you’re presumptuous to assume that anyone who speaks critically of her is a competitor. i don’t even sell on ebay! clearly, as sherry said, she had some trouble in her past.

i’m willing to accept that people change. however, i don’t care to give my business anymore to someone who got her way to the top with poor ethics.
I have a pair of these in a 7.5-8 if anyone is interested. I wore them a couple times dancing but don’t have much use for them in my daily wardrobe.
OH MY GOD. Could these be the best boots ever??? They’re very close to it, if not, ARE. Must.. buy.. them..
i sold a pair of them to the sonia rykiel designers when i worked in a vinatege store in nyc..love themx
Awesome! I grew up loving boots, boots and more boots. I’d kill for these! the colors are lovely and they’d be so cool in my collection…
i saw these and LOVED them.. unfortunately they’re a size too small!
I don’t know if i would like zippers just hanging there but I like the whole idea of 4 in 1
I think they work best at full height.
Greetings from Canada again! 🙂
What a coincidence! I saw these exact boots in a local (Ottawa) vintage store called ‘Orange’. The lady who owns this amazing store either comes from Britain or she lived there for a long time and collected her fabulous collection. They look even better in real life. 😀
Ah, they need to be just Black.
If they were black, then the silver zippers would look retro punk and oh, tres cool. IMO
These are ace, I could never pull these off (just because I’m so short they would be thigh high ha) but they are just awesome!
funny thing about these lovely boots…i’ve ran across these a few times in the last 4 or 5 yrs or so. one of my friends’ mother at the time owned a pair and offered them to me. unfortunately, it took mother a while to send them then me the girl ended up having a falling out so i missed out on these lovely shoes for free! then the next time i saw them they were too big and too much…when it rain, it pours…
Now I would never wear these, they look so 80’s like.
maybe you could pull them off, but I saw a girl at the airport wearing these and let’s just say…NOT good! she made them look extremely tacky.
wow those are some really cool looking boots.
ohhh, makimakivintage.com had this pair before too! sold for way over $200 but what doesn at makimaki!

ps-really, really read the feedback. i love you, but indie absolutely has a terrible rep. she has bought from old lady sellers and they said they item never arrived so she get a refund, then lo and behold they are selling in her store next week. she has been suspended from ebay multiple times for shill bidding. she started her ebay career faking chloe items, claiming they were a different “brand” called chloe. i would not make this up because i ADORE you!~ check her ENTIRE feedback AT toolhaus.org or ask on the ebay disscussion boards to make an informed decision. she does have lovely things sometimes but its good to be an aware buyer.
keep up the stylish work!
where can i buy these?!?!
