Languishing in a canvas tote were my flea market beauts of two feathers along with an old silk blue miniskirt and an old Yves Saint Laurent silver crushed velvet skirt. Woe is me for living in a flat with no sewing machine and shame on me for not having had the time to do anything with these beautiful raw materials. Oh well. Nothing for it except to go down the makeshift root whilst keeping the feathers free from being attachment. Rather than make something that is permanently irreversable, I like my easy ways out. The skirts were chopped and layered and the feathers casually stuck in so they splay out at the sides. Echoing the colours in the top and tights with soft blues and greys is easy enough.
I promise I will find a more permanent home for the feathers but for now, randomly stuck in places, is where I think they best fit in my wardrobe…

you are adorable!
Oooh, I’m liking the crushed velvet skirt. I feel as though I need to get myself a velvet skirt. Probably a circle skirt or something… I’ve been having a hankering for one, since my friend got a lovely one!
looks great! You havent shown many pics of your black sequin skirt (from France maybe?). I was interested about how you would style that.
So pretty! Love the crush of colours too…

yesterday I bought a skirt with a lot of layers of different fabrics, and i thought “this is so susy-esque!” 🙂
It is a lovely skirt, it is at Zara, I am sure you would love it
i love the color scheme and the way the layers look 🙂

I love the play of blues and greys you’ve brought out in the entire outfit- and that blue headband you’re wearing is utterly adorable. As usual, nice job, Susie.
