Fruits of Teaching

Excuse the self indulgence but Etienne Mineur has put up the videos that our five students created as a result of the Fashion Pixel Masterclass that we taught in Miami.  As I spent the last half hour watching them all, it’s interesting how different they all are in tone and aesthetic but I guess that is mission accomplished since I was pushing for individuality to show through on the films.  Once again, thanks to Etienne for all the Final Cut wizardry and most of all, thanks to the students for putting in the slog (staying until 10pm whilst us teachers skulked off at 6pm….shame on us!)

As a final cheesy/Hallmark message, to Lucian, Gustavo, Ingrid, Simon and Marie: Hope you are well and thanks for making my first teaching experience…well….a good experience!

Gustavo’s interview with the OWN designers…wait for a hilarious clip at the end…

Ingrid took the original of Kanye West’s Stronger and the A-Trak version, meshed them together with footage from all the classes to make a very well-timed mix.

Lucian’s very image heavy, soundtrack reliant, rich in effects overview of the masterclasses, setting a distinct mood for each different class.

Simon did a more traditional documentary style video incorporating simple and vibrant imagery.  An insightful look into both the teachers and students in the Stiching Bitch Beach class taught by Tony Delcampe and Laurent Edmond.

Marie focused on the processes of handbag making, interviewing Natalia Brilli and her husband Lionel on the importance of accessories.

A big pat on their backs.  I of course don’t expect readers to watch all of this.  Oh, the selfish traits of a blogger….
