>> If there was any presentation/show in Paris this season where I would have feasibly walked over to the model, order her to undress (in private of course!) and hand her clothes over to me tout suite, it was certainly at Calla's A/W 11-12 collection presentation. It didn't help that Tommy Ton and Phil Oh who were with me were egging me on to do so. Had it not been for common decency and a great deal of self-control I might have done it. Especially when it involved a floppy hat dabbed with watercolour florals (as well as one that was part sun-hat, part headband) and a digitalised micro floral print, paired along with a plummy hue that makes florals fit right into winter. It's a floral without my being able to name the species/genus of the bloom. Calla's print work continues to progress and swirl about in abstracted forms but the slightly more literal looking flowers were also welcome in this compact but sweet collection. Smiley models (well they were semi street-casted) are the proof in the fashion oven's pudding.
Florals aside, a painted cream velvet makes me think what other thing could be next on my fabric paint DIY agenda…
I love love love the floral print!

So pretty! I probably wouldn’t have had the will power you exercised; I see no shame in leaving models naked in the quest for fantastic florals.
