>> I've still yet to fully digest and express my feelings of L.O.V.E. (spell it out and it means something a bit more…) for Prada's S/S 11 show but for the sake of this particular post, all I can say for now is…
Miucca Prada gave us a heap load of that energy giving fruit, my beloved banana – in green and yellow form (was she in fact illustrating a plantain?)…
We have the vit-C heavy citrus fruits at Stella McCartney S/S 11…
(Both photographs by Morgan O'Donovan for Dazed Digital)
Then we have more 5-a-day contributions from Been by D'heygere designed by Antwerp alum Stephanie D'heygere, a label discovery which Alex Loves also Loves. Pineapples, banana skins, water melon AND sharlyn melon get wacked onto a simple but effective line of cycling shhorts and leggings with neon accents. Why not go the whole hog and explore other skins… the durian? Jackfruit? Dragon fruit? Rambutan? A natural next step me thinks for D'heygere to promote further fruit consumption…
I love that the watermelon cycling shorts are colored appropriately on the inside too! Even if you’re the only one who knows it, I still think it would make them more fun to wear.
wow they’re so much fun ^^ especially the pineapple one!! 🙂
xx
LMAO that’s crazy but interesting.
Durian! Meep! As long as they aren’t scratch and sniff 😉
The cycling shorts are only for the truly fit. That model has no waist bulge at all, amazing.
i loved stella’s citrus colours for s/s’11….something that we can rejoice…..though too much fruitiness can make me nauseous…those cycling shorts can make one go awry..though it is very innovative…!!!!
theres a message in there somewhere, but i can’t quite make out what the leggings model is spelling out……….
great prada’s bananas.

I like how the watermelon shorts look like frog legs.
Love the fruity look, those citrus colours are amazing!
fruty prints are not my style, but i have to admit they may be fun for once!
Prada- Genius! And thanks for the Whistles blouse link! Too bad they are sold out of my size 🙁
Have you seen the mini-market sale stuff that just hit The Outnet? I ordered the yummy pink/orange wide-leg trousers and the polka dot blouse. They seem like they may be up your alley, and the prices are right!

Love the fruity leggings by BEEN! Where can I buy these?
actually i don’t like fruity style, but i am looking at fruity leggings now.I love them! They’re so much fun…especially the watermelon one:)
I loved that fruit was everywhere during the spring season.
I remember posting a couple of years ago about SS08 clothes being all over florals, and suggesting people try fruit instead, as a joke, never thought it’d actually happen though!

Love that fruit is taking the reins from florals!! Brilliant!!
My friend Julie once said to me ‘have you ever eaten a dragonfruit? It’s like eating fashion, motherfucker.’
Needless to say, I love her.
Banana pattern is my jam!!!
Unbelievable!!!!
