Infinite Dazed

>> I don't live there anymore work-wise but I've got to give two double thumbs up to the new redesign of Dazed Digital because well and truly, there's nothing quite like it out there and the infinite scroll is giving me a headache of the good sort… yes, the GOOOOOD kind of headache. The site is quite literally punching the phrase "information overload" in the face and serving EVERYTHING they have up in a Tetris formation for people to get happily lost in.  The first bit of infinite scrolling action weaves in and out of words, images, MP3s, videos from Fever Ray, Dries Van Noten, Bruce LaBruce, David Bailey, Matthew Stone, Corinne Day, Walter van Beirendonck… but it just keeps on going on and on and on…. wonder if I'll be bothered to scroll down to the point where I might even find my ye olde posts down there somewhere, wherever 'there' might be…

  1. It’s a great redesign. I wonder if three or more posts on the same topic dissapear altogether in they end up side by side? Ugh, my tetris analogy is terrible.

  2. susie,
sorry this is off topic, but when i click on the(into)the fray link at left on your home page it diverts to a viagra online website. not sure why this is happening. other links seem to work fine…

  3. I’m infatuated with Dazed Digital. Its a website I consider drool worthy. A part of my blog includes interviewing high fashion designers, so when I first started interviewing and couldn’t find a comfortable way to phrase the structure of my questions I always turned to Dazed for guidance. I love their interviews, and the one conducted with Tavi was amazing, even if it did leave me slightly confused, (is she restarting Sassy?? I’d love to see a publication run by a teenager, being one myself.)

  4. It’s a cool new layout… if only they could sort out the shambles that is their iphone/ipad app…

  5. If someone can do it, Dazed can. Now, I generally have a hard time adjusting to changes, yet I think I can actually embrace this one. As always, Dazed is infinitely inspirational!

  6. I thought this was very cool, love how Dazed, Google images and Facebook are doing the infinite scrolling thing. Are pages a thing of the past? Liked the Dries article too, as well as the profiles of Beirendonck’s new Antwerp 6 🙂
