When I first saw the Acne S/S 10 collection images with of course the show stopping metal-work pants catching everyone's eye, I was racking my brains thinking what it reminded me of other than the obvious…i.e. Balenciaga's robo leggings. No, I racked again and I remembered Husam el Odeh's embellished pair of Kickers boots. So tonight, at the Acne S/S 10 presentation at the Barbican, my suspicions were confirmed…. all the metalwork, sunglasses and bag embellishment is indeed the work of Husam el Odeh! I do like it best when he collaborates and when the perfect backdrop paves way for his HEAVY metal to shine.
Getting spiritualised is the theme of the collection and Acne's first collaboration with Swarovski meant the crystals were used in a sparse way… singular crystals placed on acupuncture points…
I love this crystal/broken glass print…
What I didn't catch properly in the lookbook images were these shoes which have a spindly triple heel… hmmm… showpiece shoes that won't ever see the shops?
Wow metal details!
thanks for the closer look! wonder how much those armor jeans will be..
Those shoes ‘heels’ look a bit like little horses legs. I find them rather creepy now…
Husam = love. Acne is a very interesting Brand to watch…
Nice to see the Swarovski crystals applied sparsely. I shudder everytime I catch my mom wear some jeans she bought in HK with a Swarovski cat embellishment. No lie. It’s scary…but sort of endearing because it’s my mom haha.
Also those heels are like matchsticks!
the shielded denim is amazing..
xx-LJ from SOS!
I’ve been tring to find out who will stock the armour pants, so cool! Those tripod heels are bizar, great collection.

loving the jeans and those random three heeled shoes xoxox
Those heels are CRAZY! ๐
xx
Expect the pants to appear on an upcoming episode of “What not to wear to the airport.”
The shoes are amazing! I really hope they’ll see the shops
wow so many cool quirky aspects of the clothes you wouldn’t see on the unway! i love the cystals on accupuncture points, literal heavy metal, and the surrealist chair heels! so creative
heels are so random, I’m failing to see their beauty. The jeans are interesting, as are the metal episodes
Honestly, I think the jeans look dumb. I love the sunglasses though. Undecided on the heels.
Those heels are really unique – must be difficult to walk in, though!
i absolutely love the skinny jeans!!!!
i am quite impressed!!!!!
Oh wow! Totally craving body armor now…and bright yellow eyeshadow.
Horrible! I can’t wait for the It girls to wear those armor jeans, and then the crappy knock-offs!
the heels are crazy!! never seen anything like that before ๐

eek, those shoes are freaky deaky.
Love the metal kneepads, but those shoes look a little… precarious! I’d be scared they’d snap.

inspirational!
Omg, this is great in a crazy way! It definitely inspired me. How weird is the idea of triple-heeled shoes? I like it!
xx
Amazing, love the futuristic element to these jeans.
I absolutely adore the jeans in the 5th picture. Crazy heels. I am so inspired when i read your blog.

The shoes are even cooler than you think, the nails are detachable, so you can wear them with only one spike if you like. You can see the whole Acne SS10 womens shoe collection here http://caroline.feber.se/art/162378/acne_womens_shoes_ss_10/
(By the way, I’m not Caroline, the blog owner, just an Acne fan)

omg shoes shoes! with many heels. freakin awesome.
& love all the jeans/trousers too.
Gotta love the kneepads! The broken glass print is super as well.
those metal jeans! so cool.
Models feet, at last something thye have I’m not jealous of! Love those jeans though.
Such simple and innovative design. I love those shoes.
The last pants, I love them!!
The shoes will hit the shops! They are in the collection and not only showpieces. <3 Acne. B:)
THOSE SHOES <3
And those tie dye jeans...beaaautiful!
I honestly cannot decide is I like those shoes… or if I hate them! Art-wise they are fascinating, but they also jar with my no doubt conventional view of what a “heel” should be!
Ahh! Those shoes are delicious but do seem kind of impratical in life unfortunately. Knowing my luck I’d trip and one of them would snap. Probably something will just dominate the runways.
Hey thanks for the link btw!
The body armor is inspired by motorcycle racing suits I assume. Love the tri-heal, very original.
