LF Markey Brings it to One Tree

When I saw these film stills from LF Markey's film that she will be presenting during London Fashion Week, all I could think of was that it was a hybrid between two of my guilty pleasures…repeats of One Tree Hill and the oft-ITV2 repeated Bring it On film… if I've had a hefty night of channel flicking between those two, and also had a hunk of cheese (unlikely since I'm not a great cheese lover…) I may fall into deep sleep and dream up something like these film stills because of course, my dreams always include fantastical frocks conjured up from nowhere (think I had a dream about Zac Posen designing for New Look the other night…).  The injection of LF Markey's silk/satin colours in 'Disney' ball gown shapes certainly makes me mildly more interested in this basketball bitch fest that I think is being played out through these stills but I won't fully know until I see the finished film.

Anyhow I'm not just bunging up these film stills up for nothing.  The peeps at LF Markey have kindly offered the first 30 Style Bubble readers to RSVP to antonia@afwalker.com and they will be given entrance to LF Markey's film and set installation presentation at Vauxhall Fashion Scout, 4pm on September 22nd as part of London Fashion Week.  This season's Vauxhall Fashion Scout is being held in the beautiful Freemason's Hall in Covent Garden, a bit of an upgrade from the South Ken venue so it should be a lovely walk between there and Somerset House if you're going to shows.

  1. i just read an article about you in Elle UK, loved it so just had to check in with you.
unfortunately, i miss out on LFW this time, but those stills look intriguing!

  2. Wicked shots! Love the sequinned ball!
“You want to bring it?” “I already brought it, set it down on the table and opened it”
    Haha…classic line! 🙂
    xx

  3. This makes me feel so much less guilty about my One Tree Hill addiction. I like to think of myself as a reasonable and intelligent human being, but that programme just turns me into an obsessive, blithering idiot. My brother found my secret stash of DVDs and now my family won’t stop laughing at me. 🙁

  4. Guilty pleasures- what would life be without them? haha
In some way, you have to consume something kitschy or mindless or perhaps extremely mainstream just to entertain yourself…

  5. I’ve never been into sports at all, but these pics are convincing me that I need a disco basketball in my life right now.

  6. so want to watch this!!
not sure i’ll be doing LFW this season, lots of last minute stuff going on here…

  7. I love Somerset House – it is indeed an upgrade.
I actually think your guilty pleasures are more sophisticated than my late night flicking!

  8. My only comment is that I absolutely love One Tree Hill. I don’t know why because the whole concept should drive me crazy, but I think Brooke and Hayley are the coolest girls ever. If you follow your dreams Susie Bubble you too will one day play in the NBA.

  9. Susie, I was accepted onto the guest list as one of the first thirty (so thanks!) but I’m just wondering if there is an entrance charge? Would be good to know, thanks.

  10. i have been put on the invitation list (whoop!) but i am only 13, will i be allowed to bring my mum along with me?
