Violent Sunset

>>It's nearly that time again and whilst yes, the orange and pink is the a la mode trend-i thing, all I've been been waiting to do is to complete my violent sunset with the perfect bit of orange which has finally appeared via this Dries Van Noten jacket.  This time round, the blue of the sky is absent and it's that kind of Disney-esque imaginary kind of sunset which clearly exists only in my imagination…

  1. LOVE LOVE LOVE it!!! If one day, by magic, you suddenly tire of that jacket, I’ll be here with open arms 😉 Gorgeous outfit!

  4. I can’t even begin to desribe how much I adore this outfit..
Can I move in, into your closet please?

  5. wow, this is gorgeous.. i don’t know if i’ve thought about it before, but it seems like a conceptual outfit that’s actually aesthetically appealing is sort of hard to accomplish. applause!

  6. In Tucson, we get sunsets of shades identical to those colors. It’s beautiful!

  7. Hey, I just thought you’d like to know that you were mentioned in British Vogue’s May issue. I’ll scan it and send it to you.

  8. amazing! i like the colours against the dark navy sky. i would never think of pairing those colours together but they work so well on you. very inspiring.

  9. Gorgeous. I thought the ‘peaches&cream’ (2 May) was the best look ever, but this has nudged it out of first place in my book.
I’ve been using orange/hot pink in graphic design & on my body for ages (only occasionally – not every day – I’m not INSANE). It’s even my logo/cv/branding. Not everyone can wear it successfully. What you’ve done – cooling it down with purple – is stunning. They’re such powerful, happy colours. Thanks for some sunshine on a grey day.

  10. So vibrant.
I would never have thought of putting these colours together, but you have proved they work really well together.
It’s about time these age old colour rules got torn up.

  11. i love this susie. I love the pictures too, the night photographs are great. The outfit is bursting with color in the best way possible good thing you posted this when its darker so the contrast pops….
I’m also ecstatic about the post you did on Pam Hogg, Glad people like you have the opportunity to report back on one of my favorite designers…My parents are in London right now and I may just have to tell them to get their asses onto newburgh street and pick up a jumpsuit for me considering I cannot get my hands on one here. Can you imagine an nearing geriatric Korean couple picking up a spandex jumpsuit in the Pam Hogg store??

  12. I love the jacket … i wish i could own the same in blue ….and by the way i love the color of dark sky ; i think it highligh your birght outfits 😉
    Boubou xx

  13. I love how you describe it as “violent orange.” You have to check out this guy’s suits I blogged a couple days ago…

  14. How to accomplish the custom classification essay is a thing, university students are willing to know about during the students years. Thence they would get all the answers at custom writing services.
