>> So the last pair of S/S 09 Basso & Brooke babies weren't here to stay but these coral pair are courtesy of the lovely boys at Basso & Brooke. Sadly though despite my size 38-39 status (i.e. I could be anything from a 38 to a 39…) these size 39s are still a bit loose. Flooping around in the house in my house ballet flats, I did sigh a little at the beautiful ornate heels glinting in the sun and so in a Prada S/S 09-sock liner+shoe-esque (best illustrated with this Vogue Paris editorial…) brainwave, I slipped my feet into the shoes in an attempt to fill out the space a bit more. A tad more secure and actually lessens the extreme beauty of the heels which also inadvertedly lessens the "I'm not worthy" feeling that the shoes naturally illicit.

Lucky girl – those are some Fabulous shoes! Brilliant idea putting the ballet shoes with them – I imagine its far more secure than those Prada socklette things too.
Damn them shoe sizes… maybe wear them with big thick gym sock!
xx-LJ from SOS!
the heels are absolutely beautiful! and the whole structure of the shoe…just wondering, is it hard to walk in them? i would be deathly afraid of accidentaly tripping and breaking one of those heels!
Amazing shoes… I love how you put them with the ballet flats, very creative
Woah words can’t describe how envious I am of you. I could spend an entire day just looking at those heels.
Anyway, being totally random and irrelevant to this post, I think your fashion sense has improved tremendously over the years. Go you! π
My official stance on heels this high is : ‘no’ but I don’t think anybody could refuse a heel THAT beautiful. Wooooooooooooooooooooow. I wouldn’t even need to walk in them because I’d have to be in a position where I can gaze at the heel of my shoe all day.
holy moly! simply divine.
what are they like to walk in?
WOW!!! Absolutely marvelous heels, and I love the layered shoe thing!
At first I wasn’t sure if I liked it, but now I love it. Those shoes are darling, gorgeous, love the colour and the heel!

Amazing heels!
ItΒ¬Β₯s such a shame when lovely shoes are too big. Got a pair of my own.
that’s the best coral shade! hopefully you’ll sort something out, maybe excuses to buy more stockings/socks?
Gorgeous shoes! Sad they don’t fit well. Maybe thick high socks?

BEAUTIFUL!! In coral, no less.

Wear them in winter with thick knee socks, and in summer put them on a shelve or in your bookcase to admire π
Ahahah I have the same problem! I’m a 38/39 and all in between as well π
Those shoes are amazing, and I have to say, I really love the way they look layered! Great thinking on that one. Can’t wait to see them in action.
