Powder Me Blue

I had a day off doing something rather fun and exciting (all shall be revealed…. in a really long while…thus rendering this bit of mystery a bit pointless…).  In the process of my fun and exciting day, I a) had the opportunity of slipping on these Rupert Sanderson suede and pony creeper heels (did you know their site went transactional…I didn't…) which is a shape Sanderson has carried through from AW08 to SS09 by producing them in a fetching shade of powder blue and b) discovered that actually I just like saying the colourway "powder blue".  I share a similar sentiment towards blush pink, mauve, dove grey and mustard yellow.  Yes, I could simplify be done with it by calling it pale blue but it's not half as fun.

Then I discovered along with the shoes, there's a fair bit of powder/pale blue going on in my wardrobe that I had to multi-snap as these shoe babies are alas not here with me to stay.  I've had them perched on top of a matching Lanvin powder blue box and have admired them a fair bit, batting my non-existent eyelashes and making doe eyes at them.  They're grand things though, haughty in the heel and precious in the powdery blue suede.  I know I don't profess these sort of "I die, I die, I die" sentiments often (nothing is that amazing that people actually need to die, no?) but in the case of these shoes, it really is a "I'm not worthy" situation.

    I love the little powder blue shrug or is it perchance a vintage bed jacket, I’m a huge fan of those funky retro nylon numbers.

  17. those shoes are unbelievable. I don’t even understand why they aren’t in my wardrobe yet. Lux Creepers just wow….
    The outfit is suberb i love the black slip peeking through with the bit of lace at the bottom and the hat….beautifully done. I also love this chopped up style of pictures as well it makes me focus on the parts of your outfit.

  41. These are amazing… I’m really PISSED though because I made a traditional low creeper, a creeper heel and a creeper boot (SO SICK) for my Harajuku Lovers Line and the stupid salesmen just didn’t get them.
    I’ll have to post pictures on my blog. 🙁
    I really hate when sales reps aren’t into fashion. Go sell vacuum cleaners instead! Grrr.

  48. i have a huge craving for something powder blue now, or some powder blue fake flowers or pot puree. the shoes are lush, though i guess it would have been even more heartbreaking to stain the colour with these mucky city streets!
