Somebody came up to me in colette when I was in Paris and asked if they could take my picture and said they were from Nylon Mexico. Clearly I hadn't been in the Nylon loop for a while and hadn't realised there was a Nylon Mexico…. had they suddenly gone global and taken over Brazil, Australia, South Africa as well? Not exactly… along with Nylon Japan (am obsessed with the paper quality of the mag…), it turns out Nylon also has a Korean version. Apologies for being slow on the Nylon uptake there. I managed to nab an old Nov 2008 issue that in the normal international edition appropriation/sharing rule of thumb had put Paris Hilton on the cover, an image that was used in Nylon US yonks ago. Of course the trick is to ignore whatever appropriated cover story is going on and get to the good stuff; namely the editorials produced/commissioned by the Nylon Korea team like this Special Cards one shot by Sally Choi. Sadly I can't read one word of the fashion credits but as ever am intrigued by the styling going on in much the same way that I heart Korean Vogue Girl, Elle Girl etc…
Guess RD Franks is my only London option for procuring said Korean mags and I suppose a hefty chunk of change needs to be set aside for the mag indulgence…
I love that one blue jacket! Congrats on making the mag! http://isnotfashion.blogspot.com/
Yo Cari…. I’m not in the mag! Just flagging it up as something interesting….!
Oh WoW! Such beautiful pictures, especially the second one. Yum.
I hope to see the pic of you from NYLON Mexico! Sure they’ll put you in 😀

as a twentysomething who grew up with nary any ‘teen fashion’ mags around (other than mainstream stuff like ‘seventeen,’ ‘ym’, etc that weren’t really fashiony), i’m consistently amazed at how savvy and sophisticated kids’ senses of style are these days. the internet must be part of this. these are some pretty impressive fashion spreads!
Love the interpretation of the Tarot. Brilliant concept.
I love, love, love that amazingly patterned blazer. Can anyone tell me where it comes from?
This reminds me alot of the work from Reed+Rader. They do cut outs and illustrations like this on top of fashion pictures.
Anyways, this is great and alot better than the American version.
Beautiful editorial – I love the styling with the little illustrations adding to the whimsical feel. Beautiful!
Love the belted printed dress…nylon has some fantastic spreads.
truly fantastic pieces, I’ve been going over and over them!
yes there actually was an australian nylon but that died… wasn’t very good anyway.
I still have no idea where to get korean mags in melbourne. you posting about new great kr mags is not helping my insatiable thirst for them either!
this is very inspiring. thanks for the heads up.
wow, do you know the brand of that rainbow tassel scarf? I’d love to see if I can get it in Australia
Pretty nice, I loved it.
loving this editorial.
