Oh Blossom…

I know I know, my skin should be way thicker but the comments here still infuriate me like a rash that won’t go away (which incidentally I annoyingly have on my skin these days because of the cold…).  So I’ll keep itching it and it will keep bugging me until the head goes insane from  thinking about it.

Another criticism I’ve received of late is that I seem to be mad on the designer stuff and not much else, which funnily enough came at a time when I’ve just spent my last penny and throughout Paris actually had access to zero funds whatsoever. Still, thanks to a 20 euro note from the boyf, I tried to make it last with another ¬£10 outfit challenge (it was $20 last time I believe…what with all the ¬£$‚Ǩ ups and downs, it’s hard to know whats what these days…).  This time of course, it was a lot simpler and far more limited given the fact that Paris is not really famous for scoring  cheapy cheapy things.  On Sunday morning, we trekked it to Porte de Montreuil where there is fleamarket that is most definitely NOT of the charming sort that you might find at Vanves or Clignancourt. There, I got these frilly ribbed sheer leggings for EUR5 from a stall that sold some solid cheesetastic clothing.

Then onto Free P Star, my usual go-to place for last minute cheap vintage in Paris for a rummage in the 3 Euro bin where I found this loose stripy top and a sort of paint splatter/cow print skirt. Throw it all together with the added warmth of a Heat Tech top, some Doc Martens white Chelsea boots which are endearingly clumpy and a hat that I haven’t worn in an age and suddenly…

(Alas, I’m not one of those bloggers who really gives a shit about looking perfectly preened hence these eyesore pics…)

…I regressed into days of watching Blossom and wishing I was as cool as Six.  Not sure what it is about this outfit that reminded me of Blossom but I literally started doing the running man as soon as Steve started snapping and it made me feel a whole lot better after the getting-older weekend I had.  Younger peeps may not remember this but some of you will watch this and laff, laff, laff…
