Found the winner of the most fashionably poignant Halloween costume prize if ever there was one. At the Browns Focus Halloween bash on Friday, Phoebe Arnold, ex-fashion editor of Pop magazine donned this gravestone. It might fuel rumours that Bauer, publisher of Pop magazine is shutting down the mag but according to their press release, they are merely taking a hiatus until Autumn 2009 to restaff and redirect the magazine. Phoebe here of course has been swept away by the big budgets of Conde Nast and Katie Grand to the new magazine Love which is set to launch at the end of February in 2009 priced at a fiver. I’m hoping I’ll be able to say "LOVE Love!" come Feb with the two Loves pronounced in two distinctly different vocal pitches and in an overly exaggerated fash voice.
Popped?

do you want to explain to me, why you gave up the chance to go to Seoul Fash Week???!!! 🙂
Timing issues alas….and also Dazed did end up covering Seoul Fashion Week with another contributor… next time though!
That’s a very clever way to make a statement.
looks like a bit of an announcement to me. definitely fuels rumours at the very least.
what a cumbersome costume!
Great idea AND execution.
just as a separate issue about Seoul Fashion Week. It turned out that the PR company and the high level organisers made a complete bungle out of the SFW I heard. You would have enjoyed the shows (I bet) but the whole press was treated badly with no or very little English literature for each designer.
I know the Korean culture too well. Maybe they will do better next time. I’m seriously thinking of going there next march but if they are going to do the same I’ll have to spend that money on shopping instead!
