172 comin’ at ya….

Be very very afraid.  Actually, that’s a warning to my own wallet, perhaps not yours.  Shop 172 is my favourite haunt on Brick Lane, and definitely in my London Top 10 if there ever was such a chart.  I have explained before but the designers they sell there really are at the grassroots level of things…. names I haven’t heard of, that don’t even have a Google presence and probably don’t want to be found because they produce things at such small quantities.

Therefore everytime I go in I always tend to find something new and it is my place to go to for a wardrobe pick-me-up when the high street is making me snooze and I’m not feeling flush enough to go to high end designer boutiques. 

Back to the warning.  The website is live but the e-shop is coming soon.  There’s more than ample information there about the designers they sell and the origins/idea behind the store.  I’m just throwing that warning out there.  I might want a wardrobe pick-me-up more often than I thought once their e-shop comes alive.  You know how it goes.  It’s 13.00.  Your sandwich is half wilting and you don’t want it anymore.  You’re ignoring work emails.  You start browsing e-shop faves mixed with eBay.  Your mind wanders and next thing you know, 200 quid has been spent.
