I apologise for going through an initial nesting period whereby I’m more intrigued by a piece of furniture than a pair of shoes. I can assure you that it’s temporary and I’m merely overly chuffed at having found a new hovel to live, in time before fashion week madness begins (sadly no New York for me but to those who are going: have bags and BAGS of fun!). It was inevitable that my fashion related belongings was going to leak into my living room… there was just no way everything could be hidden away in the bedroom…
Enlarge for a better view but on a bookshelf, shoes had to be sandwiched between my Penguins along with some of my boyf’s little bits and bobs…
I am a tacky so and so… his n’ hers boots with my black crow acting as the go-between… peering into the kitchen behind…
My JBL speaker unit acts as the perfect perching spot for my beloved headpiece by my friend Anthony Vaccarello and the Outsapop zipper necklace that slinks and slithers around the base… they amplify the sound…that’s my line and I’m sticking to it…

Given that a vintage hat has a permanent home on one of our bookcases while jewelry is intermittently draped…well, everywhere, I totally love this. If only I could convinced the boyfriend to let me hang dresses on the walls.
Now, I think I wanna display my favorite shoes in my book shelf. That’s a great great idea! Thanks! 😀
Sweet, I like the idea of the crow as a go between erm between the books.
oops, I mean boots.
I think it’s really nice of you to let the Boyf have any room at all for his stuff! Your stuff is the stuff everyone covets, and his stuff is just stuff. Remind him how sweet you are, so he gives you all due appreciation!
I love this.
I hang my vintage chinese dresses on the walls and use my heels as book ends.
I drape vintage shaws and use them as valences and hang them from my celing

It’s cool to see how your fashion-y things integrate with your homey things. I think you’re allowed to feel happy and to want to nest; that’s part of life, just as much as fashion is.
I love this post, love those Miu Miu shoes . . . love all around, really.
sandal bookends? now why didn’t i think of that? =/
I still wish I got those Acne Niara shoes.
Its as if your dressing your furniture in you favourite items of clothing.with all of your clothes, they are never just an item ,they are always so much more. Its good to seee something that inspires you or makes you think every now and then.
I love how you put your shoes between the books! I’d be scared to do something like that in my living room because I hate people touching my stuff like that and wanting to pull it out and get a better look/try it on.
i do that too! leave my stuff all around the house. ; )
everyone’s house should be decorated with shoes. i know mine is.
ahh what a nice way to decorate the house will all your faveourite shoes and accessories. I really wana have a go at making one of those zipper necklaces they look so amazing and such a big impact to look at!
I’m so quite happy to completely rip off the shoes in bookcase look – what a fab way to see your wares!
Love everything about this.
susie !
i have the same speakers ! i adore them !
but don’t you find the base always gets super dusty super quickly ? you have inspired me to use my base for other things !
xo
I love when things are out of place or “misplaced”. It shows that nothing can be as orderly as we like.
😉
It’s very cool to get a peek at the way you’ve set u your new digs. Incidentally, I’m also tickled that I used the same title for my own nesting-post a couple months ago, over on my non-fashion blog. Total collective unconscious moment.

You have the same bookshelf as I do!Or more like bag shelf in my case.
I love that first picutre with the pink shoes. That is exactly how I do things too. Shoes are too beautiful to be kept hidden in wardrobes or shoe boxes, they’re pieces of art, thus they should be displayed!
