I know I’m totally pooing on people’s parade when I post about sample sales in the right hand column that are only relevant for Laaandoners. Hey, it works both ways and I get a bit jealous of all those sale notices that Top Button, NYC sends me too. However, sample sales going online are slowly filtering through and it’s even more of a suprise that Boudicca (posts on Boudicca are surely into double figures now!), a London-based label that I can’t heap enough praise and admiration for, have a small selection of their wares online in a wee sample sale….
It’s not the mix-mash of crap and really really old/mouldy things on squashed up rails that you might find at sample sales (though those kind of sales have their perks too…) but a small selection of garments from the past few seasons that make sense with each other as well as standing out on their own.
Did I say about wearing a gigantic bow? I think so and this top does ‘gigantic bow’ perfectly. ¬£380
I have two items in this exact shade of pink metallic lurex. Another wouldn’t hurt? ¬£240
This jacket manages to balance silver lurex and luxurious wool…. not sure how… ¬£500
A different sort of bomber jacket that has the right amount of puff in it. £360
I love a ruffle at the bottom of the skirt that is sudden as opposed to gradiated, sort of like a rabbit’s tail. ¬£500
As you can see, the prices aren’t exactly sample-sale expectant but for brand new pieces that have had a lot of man hours and technical know-how put into them that are pretty much one-offs, considering Boudicca’s brand presence….well…. if I had it, I know where the ¬£¬£¬£ would be going…
Back to the Laaandoners though. More hardcore Boudicca bargains might be unearthed at their upcoming sale this Saturday and it also involves lots of caaaake….. yes, that’s right, I said cake and Boudicca in the same sentance…. it’s goooood.

Hi! I love you BUT you are seriously aiding my shopping habit…you’re the fashion equivalent of Pete Doherty to my Amy Wino!
Anyway, I was hoping maybe you could squeeze in a quick entry about some good cheap, thrift/vintage/second-hand type shops in London? I’m about to make a trip down and I’d love a StyleBubble’s guide!?!
Thanks!
ARE YOU SERIOUS!! I am so excited. i think I might actually lose sleep over this!
I always approve of giant bows. Not so much of my Boudicca down jacket that molts enthusiastically.
Love the bow back dress, I’d wear it in an instant. Zoe Broach, (one half of Boudicca) teaches at my university (well, I graduated a few months ago but I still feel a bond with it!) but I never got the pleasure of her teaching me as she was always scheduled to teach the year below mine. I was always so intrigued by what she wore, it was always black and she wore these funky shoes where it looked like she cut the heel off and put it back on the other way around with masking tape. .. I also heard one time about her giving a girl a lecture about looking crap, and that if she wanted to do fashion she would need to sort herself out!
Ironically, I once, in a blue moon, saw her in jeans and a t-shirt, very very casual to what I was used to seeing.
i love the huuuge bow belt, i would have sooo much fun with that! diy time i guess!
Like the colours and the textures, lol but the design is a bit too puffed and layered feels like I could drown in them!
