5. This dress looks great, some of the Giles stuff has been a bit deceptive in the past – great in piccys not so good in the flesh – hope this is better.

7. Ooh, I like that a lot, but I well know the heartache of “but it looked so cute online!”. I’ll cross my fingers for you that it works out the way you want!

8. It is highly gorgeous, New Look is actually getting rather good and this Giles Deacon collection looks like the best yet.

9. will have to get myself down there on wednesday as sadly i have nothing better to do all easter, and i’m very much hoping this collection will be a little better and won’t end up in the sale racks (on another note, why do new look ALWAYS seem to be having huge sales?! one more reason to usually avoid the shop)

10. 60 pounds is pricey for new look, though admittedly the dress is the hotness.

11. I’ve got higher hopes for this range than any of the others. This time it looks more like they’re going for quality over quantity. That said I pulled out the black drape-back tulip dress (from the first collection) and finally gave it a go the other day. It’d been sat unworn for a year. It’s amazing the difference a belt makes.

16. Ah, you see, I love the Giles for New Look stuff with a passion. I’ve covered it in various online formats since the beginning. I think that this time in particular the high street stuff is more interesting than his A/W 08 mainline which to me was confused and a little bit blah. Where’s the skewed whimsy Deacon? Hmm?
    I also think you underrate New Look in general, madam! They are a fine source for this season’s florals and indeed t-shirts depicting the auxiliary characters in “Peanuts”. To me, this is gold.

20. Yum, much better than the last, what was it – ‘Gold’? I find Giles Deacon to be a very sexy guy (and straight?!) but when I saw his last New Look line I totally lost my fashion boner.
