In Susie dream la la land, more designers would have a blog like Eley Kishimoto’s blog whost latest post laid out a delightful spread of their current range of accessories. It’s odd that out of all the cutesy fashion sentiments that I felt as a teen growing up, Eley Kishimoto never left me and I still childlishly exclaim ‘That is super adorable!’ whenever I encounter a bit of Eley K goodness….

I love Eley Kishimoto too (their star-print satin clutch comes everywhere with me as it’s a handy make-up bag by day and evening purse by night) but looking at those pics I’m feeling a bit bemused. Some of those bags -e.g. bottom middle pic – look really commercial and not very EK at all. Has the injection of major-backer cash meant they’re going too mainstream too fast?
