I promise I will get off my rag about dancewear, catsuits, leotards, bodies and anything that involves a lot of toilet going difficulty. However, I have been getting emails about the red and navy leotard I wore in Paris. American Apparel obsessives will have spotted it out and it seems their two-toned-ness extends to tights as well as leotards. I rather like the fact that AA once in a while comes up with these ‘ker-razy kat’ items (silver/gold lame leggings of yesteryear being a prime example) that keeps me coming back not because I’m there to stock up on the basic tee or two but to find something that will add a simple but striking dimension. I’m not surprised they’re popping up stores all over the world…
I’m thinking a combo of the above with a brightly coloured top hat for a lazy Halloween? There won’t be as much eyebrow raising going on if you just use Halloween as an excuse.
Drat! I was going to get round to DIY-ing myself some tights like that. I’m glad I didn’t now. I would have been mad if i’d pain stakingly cut up and sewn 2 legs of tights together to then find them on the AA site!

i swear here was a girl in my university wearing two toned JEANS: white and purple.
I’ve only been in once and was surprised because for some reason I didn’t realise that their stock mainly consists of dance style wear and odes to Jane Fonda.
Totally agree about their “every now and then stroke of genius” though. And the leotard is certainly one. This post will very possibly boost their sales!

Also, out of interest, do you receive a lot of mail from people asking you to feature certain products on your brand? Excluding Spoonfed, because to be honest, who DOESN’T recieve those emails..
I’ve been humming and hawing about getting one of those 2 tone bodysuits for awhile, and just never got around to it. They’ve have them here in Mtl for awhile, since the guy who owns AA is originally from Mtl, they send a lot of smaller runs here to test things. I think the time has come ….
Well i saw these kinds of dresses in fashion tv somtimes lol well really its an artistic kind of dresses and it is our new generation fashion and people are wearing them in universities and colleges. I saw peoples wearing these kinds of dresses.
You’ve definetly got me thinking with your last two posts about trying a body again…I haven’t worn one since I was 11! And I agree about there being some great unusual finds in AA, but is it me or does the shop smell like a school changing room?!
I was thinking about making tights like that, about 4 months ago.
Unfornately there’s not an AA in Copenhagen..
and AA does it again, the simplest design with great colors and for some reason you just know it’s AA. The tights are a bit much for me but they are pretty awesome I must say!
