Those who have been Style Bubble followers for a while now will have already been introduced to the concept of ‘style lovies’ – and to quote my original post, lovies are:
"you actually don’t really need on a practical level but you absolutely LOVE."
Well, it has nearly been a year and though my lovies haven’t really changed, they have been augmented. It’s been a tough year work-wise and procuring my style lovies have really seen me through that. The origins again, like my original lovies are varied: vintage finds, sample sale buys, presents, high street, designer. As I keep extolling here, a top from a charity shop can just as likely steal your heart as a dress from Selfridges.
So as per my original post and seeing as there are a few more readers now (I think!), I’m inviting readers to share their lovies on Style Bubble. If possible, please send me one image with all your lovies in a collage (simple Photoshop should do the trick) and a list of your lovies in an email. I’d love to see lovies from far flung places too… Brazil, Iceland, Australia, Korea….. international lovies unite!
(From left to right, top to bottom) Vintage silk multicoloured shoes, vintage silver satin bow tie, Miki Fukai one-shouldered gold dress, Bernhard Willhelm visor sunglasses, blue oversized chain necklace, Martin Margiela double layered long skirt, Topshop pleated black cropped jacket, Marjan Pejoski patterned knee socks, vintage silver strapless prom dress, Bernstock Spiers silver straw cloche, United Colours of Benetton red chain scarf, Georgina Goodman for Evans slingbacks, Topshop Unique pink metallic shift dress, vintage double strapped belt, vintage ridged navy sun hat, Robert Cary Williams dusky pink zipper dress, Miu Miu gold and black patent clutch, Boudicca white dress w/ huge pleated hem, vintage pleated equestrian scarf, Swash printed shorts, Sergio Rossi shiny wedges, Azona toy necklace, vintage cream lace pumps, KTZ patterned leggings, Phillip Lim 3.1 green satin one shouldered dress, fluro elasticated belt, H&M foral metallic prom dress

I’ll definetly do this as soon as my camera is fixed ^^
those socks are really catching my eye. i am going to give this a shot again. i’m curious as to what i have acquired…
i am definitely going to do this first thing in the morning!
i’ve always loved seeing your chain accessories and those vintage multicoloured shoes :]
I am really up for this, I love your big red chain scarf and the one shouldered dress.
I don’t know how to do Photoshop but I have those visor sunglasses and I lost the visor bit in a club – DOH! I’m heartbroken…
I have never been able to figure out how to work those willhelm sunglasses, especially with long hair. (grease it back? swipe to the side? wear the glasses over it?) they are one of a raft of belongings I seem to accumulate which I cannot figure out how/where to wear, but still cling onto. I suppose that’s true love.
love,
Alex.
u’ve got such a great taste (am sure u have heard that millions of times!). We’ll see if i can make it, quite tempting!
boo. i would so be up for this! too bad ive packed up most of my lovies and stored them… because yes… that’s lovies, not needed as essentials, specially not on backpacking summer holidays… :(. Will send some mini-lovies tho (probably around 3 items)
You have great stuff but I love your Miki Fukai one-shouldered gold dress. Its fab 🙂

I am so excited you are reviving this! I missed out the first time around due to lack of photo-taking/photoshopping time, but really enjoyed you hard work and everyone else’s contributions. 🙂
I’ve also linked you to my nascent blog; hope it’s alright by you…?
Thanks for everyone’s input – will slowly compile it all together…
Someone: I’m terribly sorry – that WAS a valid blog address at one point in the past which is probably now defunct – but with dead blog links, funny things like that can happen – I have now removed the link but bewarned, I really don’t re-check my links all the time as it’s rather time consuming…
ooh, such a good idea! will have mine up by tomorrow =]
mine are up now xxx

oh my god, i am in love with that chain scarf! Does anyone know where I can lay my hands on one? Also those Bernhard Willhelm Visor Sunnies are to die for, i find it so hard to find any of his stuff anywhere. please help.
p.s I’d have to say that my biggest lovlie would have to be my pair of Dior Homme Glitter Jeans, they complete me 🙂
