I doubt none of you are that obsessive about this blog that you would go back and read old posts and comments so here is a comment from Jorge at Swear-London on my post about guys wearing metallics.
Hi Susie and all contributing to the blog, I am delighted to read your piece, we at swear have been doing silver and gold shoes for at least 10 years, first with the initial incarnation of swear (yeah, when we were younger, on vast supplies of Julian Cope’s favourite exciter… and Hedi Slimane or Cassete playa were nowhere to be seen…) so we made them huge, metalic colours and patents were a speciality!
With the second incarnation of swear shoes (2001) we have chosen to maintain the anti-formal shoe, never having made a swear soled with leather, but using the most incredible leathers and prints… we love metalics, patents and even though our wholesale customers wont go there because they are too afraid of keeping stocks and being messed about by merchandisers on huge commissions we dont give a f**k and present them every season!
For unlimited supply (unless styles are sold out) just go to our store in carnaby street and make sure you treat my wife well.Oh, and who mentions Susie and Guy will get a 20% off!
Hows that?
thanks
Cheers to a great LFW!
Jorge
Jorge, 20% did you say?? I’m very much there..
Safe black and white leather is all very well but metallic and shiny is even better so thank you Swear for going there, when the grain is saying no! If you can make it to the store on 22 Carnaby Street, even better as they stock some fab labels as well as Swear shoes – Bernhard Willhelm, Kulture.

I used to wear Swear shoes about 8 or 9 years ago! They had these MASSIVE soles, about 4 inches thick, like really exaggerated brill creepers. MY friend used to call them my hover feet, because I was so far off the ground! I suppose I must have looked a wee bit like Herman Munster…
I <333 SWEAR!
I've got two pairs so far, SWEAR for Nushu and SWEAR for Topman. Love them both, just need some more...
it’s times like this i wish i was a guy, the men’s styles are so much cool than the ones for girls…
i really like swear shoes alot and have Always wanted a gold/silver swear shoe but unfortunately i don’t live in the uk 🙁 and most sizes for the metallics are sold out ): dammit. btw i really love your blog!
