I never thought people would actually be bothered to take the time and put together their ‘cogs’ of style. Well it seems, you took my original lame little collage and came up with infinitely better cogs! Truly impressed I am!
Tricia of the wonderful Bits and Bobbins came up with some a beautiful cog collage full of colourful and and pretty things. Where I had basics and boring-ness (the nature of my cogs), Tricia had rainbow delight going on which makes me think if her ‘cogs’ are that amazing, the rest of her wardrobe must be incredible. She even added more cogs in a later post.

Music blogger Sarah of Patter Romany has also come up with a brilliant little cog sheet showing how musical influences can affect one’s cogs. I share her love of ridiculously big headphones and old lady cardigans.
Michelle sent me her cogs which are all very chic items and I adore her perfect picks…wish I had such streamlined style!
Swing and A-line coats and jackets, draped jersey tops
Non stiletto high heels, wide waist cincher belts, skinny belts
Converse All Star, Sass & Bide skinny jeans, long pendant necklaces
Ankle boots, Balenciaga handbags, vintage jumpsuits, tea dresses for wearing over jeans
Erin from Scotland (formerly from Australia) sent me her rather accessories-heavy cog picks. This collage looks like a magpie dream!

Tailored/fitted jackets, vintage brooches, vintage necklaces, sequins
Pointy flats, pencil skirts, her fave bag combining sequins, velvet and embroidery, red nails
Lip gloss, shrugs, boot-leg jeans, Dolce & Gabanna Light Blue, long line vest tops
Long bead necklaces, interesting belt buckles, cinch/waist belts, cardigans
Vintage clutches, V-neck tops, Rimmel XTreme Volume Mascara, dangly earrings
And last but not least, Sonja of Divine Providence who claims her style is basic and very casual but her cogs seem to say otherwise. She lists graphic t-shirts, scarves, floral skirts, hoodies, red/pink shoes and Camper boots as her cogs.
Thanks to you guys for showing us your cogs! I may do more ‘sharing pics’ excercises like this in the future!

it’s great to see everyone’s cogs. and it’s not hard to see why it caught on so quickly. it was a fantastic idea, that’s why!
I had to try it out too… it’s neat to see how people’s personalities come out… fab idea Susie Bubble!

Oh goodness! You featured mine, I’m so flattered! 🙂 Thankyou!
(PS: I love these posts, I really enjoy seeing what people wear and what they use to put it all together.)
I did a cog. Thanks for coming up with the brilliant idea.

Oooh mines (michelle) is on there! Thanks Susie. I have to say, I never thought I had such a ‘plain’ style until I see it compared to all the lovely, bright versions of everyone elses. That’s actually quite an eye-opener for me. I must make a mental note too myself to be more adventurous…and colourful!
dress number13 looks so sweet
Thanks for featuring my cogs, Susie 😀 It is rather accessories-heavy, isn’t it 😉
I think I’m the opposite to you, in some ways – I tend to centre my outfits around my accessories, rather than fitting them to what I decide to wear. Which is probably why I don’t have that great an array of colour or pattern in my closet, come to think of it 😉 Still, I’ve not lost my desire to add pattern into my wardrobe.. and the magpie in me will certainly be looking for accessories that will go with pattern, too 😀
it’s so cool to see other’s cogs! thanks for featuring mine. i’m a bit of a magpie for the unusual and the colorful…
i sometimes wish the more sophisticated (you, some of the other gals!) would rub off on me, but alas…
oh, i really liked seeing everyones cogs. its a cool idea.
and by the way, congradulations on you teen vogue mention in the sept 06 issue.
Love the opportunity to see people’s cogs. Especially love Michelle’s!
Wow..loving the fact that everybody is getting ‘cog’ happy!
What fun!
And … I need a belt. Michelle’s quilted one will do quite nicely.
My quilted belt is from Topshop (of course!) and is the best belt purchase I’ve ever made. Seriously, this belt really amps up otherwise really plain outfits.
I want to know where the jeweled antique looking belt that sheryl Crow
wore is from. It may have been from a video or magazine. I think it is
from New York city. It looks bronze and has semi precious stones
inlaid, pearls, e.t.c. It is all metel and hooks in the back.
Ah yes, nicely put, eveyrone.
