Stumbling onto oddities whilst doing random searching on eBay seems to be a talent of mine. Bags with telephones attached to them, necklaces with chains attached leading to finger rings and now the most endearing dress I have seen in a long time. I don’t mean the pretty kind of endearing either. It’s a potato sack dress, quite literally a sack with a dress pattern on it where you can cut out the holes to make arm holes and a neck line. From what I understand, these sacks are quite hard to come by hence the very high Buy it Now price of $125 but I saw one crop up with a 99 cents starting price a while ago. What endears me most to them is the text on the dress.

Well if this dress isn’t poking fun at fashion, I don’t know what is. Weirdly enough, I actually think with some little additions and the right styling, this could be a fantastically cool dress. Whilst things are getting looser and looser for Spring/Summer 07, why not go the whole hog and just don a potato sack!

OMG Susie I have had one of these for years! You really do have a sharp eye when it come to these things. I thought I was the only one who wore these. The other thing I am into, is metal aprons like the ones Whiting And Davis have. They were made for butchers but can look so cool when layered over stuff. Oh so heavy though.
