So apparently the sun has decided to grace London with it’s long awaited presence. After many years of resisting sunglasses thinking they were embarrassingly poser-ish and thus squinting painfully at the glaring rays, I finally relented to buying some sunnies. Last year, I jumped on the vintage sunglasses bandwagon and got some vintage Lanvin oversized sunnies. Looking at this editorial in Lula magazine has made me long for the uber expensive Linda Farrow or Marc Jacobs this year. Not sure if it’s the spiralling illustrations or the draw of the actual sunglasses though.

I have always avoided sunnies for fear of looking pretentious, but I gave in this year and bought a fab pair of oversize black ones. I love them!
hi i just found this and was wondering, not in a rude way- just in a curious way…where do you get all that money to buy such wonderful clothes??
No, it’s ok to ask. Well, I make a decent enough wage but I don’t actually splash out on designer clothes too often – I’m actually very thrifty when it comes to shopping – lots of eBay, charity shops, vintage stores, sample sales, discount vouchers. But yes, a large proportion of my wage does go on clothes.
hi! i love the sunnies you posted…. though it kinda makes me wonder if the design has any effect on one’s eyesight. 🙂
