The first thing that comes to mind when one thinks of the British high street (as in low-priced) is Topshop but I think there’s more to the UK than that. We have here a good deal of mid-range labels that are not quite on the large scale of Topshop but have a decent number of chain stores. All Saints is a brand that not many people know about outside the UK – certainly I don’t hear too many Americans/Canadians talking about it. It’s got big plans for expansion over here in the UK but this is a store that I think could work well in a place like New York or even Paris. It’s sort of in the price range of Diesel but its influence is most definitely the London punk/rock scene – a lot of distressed t-shirts, crumpled leather and a definite hard edge (even with the girly stuff they do!). I always end up coveting a lot of stuff because despite the heavy-handed style, actually a lot of is wearable and more the point – it’s a chain that despite having 18 stores around the country is still very low-scale and cult like with it’s consumer base (they have plans to expand to 40 stores in the future…). Before you berate me for yakking on about yet another London store – I have included the price ranges here if you’re interested and I will gladly Miss UPS items to you. I have now in total 5 All Saints stores within 3 miles of where I work…..
This is from their spring summer collection. Fortunately, I can wait till the sales when their stuff is discounted HEAVILY!
Their menswear is pretty great too – alas some of the best stuff is in their new flagship menswear store and not on the website.
This has nothing to do with the post but I was listening to Lily Allen’s LDN on my Ipod when I clicked on Style Bubble this evening (which is on my bookmarks toolbar on Firefox for easy reference) and saw it on your listen tab. Woo! How great is that song!

I saw a belt in a dept. store, i think it was an Allsaints one, said ‘Jesus Rocks’ on it in studs into the leather, was wandering where i could get hold of one?

i read your blog and i personally love allsaints but i cant afford most of the items i like in their store which is really annoying. i was just wondering if u can tell me of any similar stores in the UK that have similar styles with much lower prices?

i want to buy online a leather jacket (the amos one) but since i never tried on one i dont know fi they run true to size or i should size up or down.I dont know if i maybe gotta get a uk12 instead of a uk10?i mean M instead of S.I was told the jacket are pretty slim fitted.
