Gone Black

There were so many presentations, re-sees and showrooms that I missed out on in Paris which leaves a lot to be desired in terms of advanced planning and organisation which I hope to rectify next season and even though I shittily forgot to go to Tim Hamilton's womenswear presentation in Paris, at least they were still nice enough to send pictures without attaching a virus onto the email.

Well turns out from the pics, I can most certainly discern that Tim Hamilton DOES have a secret womenswear string up his sleeve.  From a menswear designer turning to womenswear I was expecting something perhaps a little on the basic side, something that goes into androgynous strategy.  This is a debut womenswear collection with cut, shape and textures all taken into account… enlarge the pics to see properly… as well as making pieces that women would want to actually wear…

Anyhow, I do wonder who else would take well to womenswear like a duck to water…  Romain Kremer, Thom Browne…?!?

  3. Yes, very static black & white. Mmmh too androgyn/impersonal as a spirit but I guess it could look great accessorised as you know very well how to do.
    Have a good weekend Susie!

  4. Thank god they are beautifully cut, because they lack color.
I love your idea for nail polish on shoes (older post).

  5. What a collection! It’s very cohesive and I gotta say, I love most of the pieces. The style and cut of the clothes is very simple yet elegant and chic. I love this.
