Inviting

I love me a novelty invite and Paris seems to get the best of em' especially when one comes in its own designated A4 sized box and a carrier bag.  Obviously the point of this Loewe paper Amazona bag isn't to bring it physically with you (there's an accompanying smaller hard invite) but it is one bangin' ode to the art of paper craft.  Note that it is fully functional with a working zip and a fairly sturdy handle.  Though I probably couldn't put more than a phone or my debit card and oyster card combo in it, lest it breaks within its 30 day life expectancy.

I shouldn't really read too much into the meaning of Stella McCartney's invitation that comes with sparklers.  Last season, it was a plastic ice making mould that spelt out STELLA which didn't exactly link up with S/S 12 pool sandals and paisley pyjamas so I'm just going to take these for what they are – funtastic fire hazards to play around with whilst I'm procrastinating from writing in my apartment in Paris (not my own – rented via 9Flats).

I've collected a few funny invites from Margiela – a plastic Margiela toy TV still sits on top of my bathroom cabinet.  This mini torch invite is also a keeper with the light projecting the show details.

  1. Ahhh these are amazing and put LFW invites to shame! Hopefully I’ll get to attend shows in Paris one day, would love to see how it all works over there. Enjoy!

  2. Use the margiela touch to shine a light in the dark. Then use the stella mccartney sparklers to set fire to the loewe invitation

  3. I love it when designers are creative with their invites, instead of just sending the standard cards. I can’t even tell the Loewe bag is made out of paper until I look at it carefully!

  4. wow love those invites 🙂 a loewe bag made out of paper and sparklers from stella . I love sparklers 🙂
