DVF-ed

>> Every year when the festive season comes around, I say that I'm not going to go all gift guide-y on you guys and yet somehow when the mags and weeklies start pounding me with gift guides, somehow that permeates some of my posts as if I have some sick and twisted need to do a gift guide.  Well, I'm certainly not going to be telling you what to buy your hypothetical teenage son/girl/granchild.

However, I have been getting print zany on these Diane von Furstenberg Vintage College items that might be touted as 'stocking fillers' because of their dinky sizing, but in reality are lovely gifts in their own right.  Good ol' DvF in between moving NYFW dates to hopefully save LFW from being blipped out next September has been lifting prints from her archives and applying them to the sort of useful things that I'd like to kit my travel bag with – USB sticks, iPad, laptop and phone cases, coin purses, travel adaptors that come with its own case and boxy cases that come in three sizes.  I'm particularly into the travel boxes that can multi-task as digi-cam case, business cards holder, a clutch and a handy home for all my SD-card/wires/adaptors that I take on the go.  I should think that the effect of owning all of these prints in their various object form is something like a zany take on the woman who totes a matchy-matchy 7-piece Louis Vuitton luggage set around the airport.
