Happy Feet

>> I've been pounding out long-la-long-long posts these days and frankly, there are only so many random micro-bloggy Tweets I can do, so this is a mini-release of quite simply… "Things that slipped onto my feet that made me very happy today."  This was only facilitated because there was a photo shoot going on at my house and the first two pair of shoes here were in the suitcase full of goodies.  It may have been bucketing it down but I was quite content to stare at my feet and shoe-gaze all day when in quick succession I had on…

Missoni A/W 11-12 python and pale blue suede slip-ons flats – I'm fairly sure these are going into production so I'll be keeping my eye on them but for a more affordable option, I'll also be watching out for the new batch of Missoni x Converse Auckland Racer knitt trainers, which were debuted in the Missoni S/S 12 menswear show even if it does mean stuffing shoes with socks to make my feet a men's size 7.

J.W. Anderson A/W 11-12 bearded brogues with elasticated laces – I never thought I'd ever describe a pair of shoes as being 'bearded' but here you have a pair of shoes that basically should come with its own My Little Pony brush just so you can put these shoe beards into order.  I'm thinking J.W. Anderson could cash in on a whole array of accessories for these shoes – different coloured hair mascaras to put a streak in them, add-on plaits, dread beads… the options are endless…

Xiao Li Tin Toy beaded Timbaland boots – These were a very very kind gift from young Xiao Li, an LCF graduate who went on to compete in China's version of Project Runway.  Her tin toy inspired collection included these boots which are clustered with beads and whilst I've longed to clomp around in them, the sheer weight of the beads have meant that I've done nothing but have house guests pick them up and wondering whether they're shoe or deranged ornament.

Tsumori Chisato S/S 11 cat shoes – I'm reaching the last of the things that come with the sentence "I bought this in Tokyo…" attached to them.  These Tsumori Chisato shoes which I picked up in the Aoyama store are part of that.  Tilt your head and you should see a cat's head peeking out from the tongue and toe of the shoe.  They come complete with a raised cat's paw shape on the bottom of the heel so you can little paw prints in your trail because of course pretending to be a cat is high on everyone's agenda.  Koshka's newly annointed sock-boutique has both of the Ayame sock styles, which I used here to try and match the level of exhuberance in the shoes.
