The Multi Yarn Gang

>> I promise that something far serious and weighty will be coming later that sings the praises of what has actually been a stellar start to RAFW.   Seeing as it's about 2am in the morning London time (and alas, I'm still very much on London time despite my best efforts to get into the right sleeping groove), I bring you a bit of silliness in the form of The Multi Yarn Gang.  Phil Oh of Streetpeeper and Tommy Ton of Jak and Jil and I didn't plan to form The Multi Yarn Gang.  It was you know… sort of EFFORTLESS.  We're in no way contrived.  We just woke up, fell out of bed and shrugged on our respective multi-yarn knitwear in a totally nonchalent way (well Tommy specifically fell out of his plane and pulled on his knit).  You could even say that The Multi Yarn Gang was born out of a unifying free spirit.  It's not fashion… it's a mood, a feeling, a movement… and you know, it feels really organic…

(But you know what…even organic, free spirit movements like the Multi Yarn Gan need credits…. Phil Oh's multi yarn is by Henrik Vibskov, I went for James Long worn with Dries Van Noten trousers, Kron by Kron Kron shoes and Lola & Bailey for Sportsgirl jewellery, Tommy's is Isabel Marant… womenswear… because he's THAT effortless that he can pull it off…

Phil and I could start a Jil Sander market bag movement but I think that ship has sailed…)

  1. The “effortless” look is a look that basically the whole world wants to achieve, so it’s rare when it’s actually effortless. The Multi Yarn Gang is workin’ it, though, and I’m totally digging it. Aaaand Phil’s sweater reminds me of a blankie I had — in a very good way. Ah, flashbacks of babyhood! SIGH.

  2. hahaha “sort of effortless”… that’s so funny! i love your multi-yarn-vibe – you guys just made my day! ๐Ÿ™‚

  3. Ah, the trinity of the tricot…frolicking in what looks like Lower George Street. Have a fun week!

  4. What a happy coincidence! And you both happened to be carrying his and hers Jil Sander bags too…

  5. The awesome trio of pro fashion bloggers of Fashion Weeks. Maybe, I’m exaggerating on my own words but clearly I am serious. I quite fancy the yarn-knitted top you three have, It’s very fall/winter pret-a-porter like.
