>> I find it quite scary how much of a formidable and indelible mark, collections such as Jil Sander S/S 11 and Prada S/S 11 have left on me personally. Sure there's always a little subtle marks of various collections that creep into my wardrobe every season, but I don't recall a season in recent years where I've woken up practically every day thinking a simple white t-shirt worn with a voluminous skirt and flatform shoes is the infallible combination. When I say 'every day', I realy mean the past week or so in London when sunlight has been flooding into my greenhouse apartment and really propelling the best of what S/S 11 has to offer – yes, we're on track with seasons now – there's no way I'm letting A/W 11-12 make its tracks in my wardrobe when we haven't properly dealt with S/S 11 yet. This Jil Sander/Prada sphere of influence neatly coincided with a few things…
* Sunspel's white t-shirt from its first womenswear collection has given what I think is a pretty perfect white tee in its fabrication, shape and fit. Steve has a bit of an addiction to Sunspel t-shirts which I buy for him every now and again, so I'm looking forward to nurturing a similar dependence on these staple tees that means I can say goodbye to the debauched mess that is American Apparel…
*After a bit of a wait, a UPS man has been banging on my door whilst I've been travelling, attempting to deliver these Prada brogue/espadrille/creeper shoes to me which I ordered back in February when I was in Milan. Since then, you've probably all heard the wait list stories and then the ensuing ridiculing of them who think they're the most ludicrous things to be waiting for. I hold my head high and defend my choice. As soon as these shoes walked out on the runway, I already had Tweets/FB/letters/emails/pigeon carrier messages urging me to get them because they had 'SUSIE' written all over them. I'll wear them every season when the hub hub dies down. I'll group them up with the rest of my brothel creeper/raised platform shoes and look at them and think "Yay for flatforms giving height AND comfort…". Dang… there's even a Grazia piece out there with me advocating them (though I'm now hankering after this supposed 'catwalk height platform' option that Grazia is reporting – in Milan, they didn't tell me such a thing existed… hmmm… needs further investigation…). In short, these are mine and I have no qualms with being another one of those silly Prada sheepettes…
* My resurrecting the WTF skirt which I now wish I hadn't chopped off quite so dramatically three years ago. I'm now on the hunt for similar 'quilted hostess skirts', which by the way is the exact search term I use on eBay. My local vintage store 162 Holloway Road also has a nice selection of them too if you're here about town…
(Worn with Furla candy bag, Wonderment orange collar… regarding the Wonderment orange leather collar here, which was on Pixie Market and is now sold out, does ANYONE know whether Wonderment exists as a label? I'll probe the Pixie Market girls but it's impossible to find out if they are sold anywhere else…)
You’ve definately got the best colourway there. I am abit bored already of seeing them but just because they aren’t my style doesnt mean I don’t understand how it feels to want something so bad you dont care how many other people are wearing them!
I think Wonderment is a label from Korea – I’ve seen some of their stuff around in shops here in Singapore! Besides collars, they’ve also got awesome vests and lots of other things. Not sure about the extent of their online presence though, so not much help I’m afraid!
Oooh love the bag

Lovely, as usual. =)
I love those skirts, as well! I have found that searching “quilted skirt” in Etsy often works well.

Love the colours! And these shoes are fantastic, they are to die for.
Nice to see you doing something new with the Prada flatforms. Love this outfit, it really brings together kooky old lady and trad/simplicity. If that makes any sense!
I’m lost in admiration over how versatile that skirt is in your (oh so capable) hands!
Ahhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh. I always tell you how much I love your outfits posts. This one is not only beautiful, but comfortable. And it makes me smile.
Thank you my dear Susie.

Every day I read your blog, except by the weekend, that is when I supose that you take a brake ^^
I love your combinations, (almost never)sometimes I don´t, but I believe that the more think that I love about your style, is the risk that you take, in most of your outfits! I think that you make it with very careful, of course.
I hope that someday from some magazine invite you to come here, is really amazing, so colour full, and very friendly!
Cause I can see that you like to travel ^^
I¬¥m from Mexico. Hello since here 🙂
The colors are fantastic!
what a cute girl?
.. game of colors on her;)
Awesome!
oooh, I remember the first avatar of the ‘WTF’ skirt, but I don’t remember the fastenings looking so neat and pretty- this is definitely a more fun iteration than those mad Balenciaga florals from SS08…
I love how the skirt looks with the Prada…whatever those shoes are called (not sure whether the soles make them espadrille-like or whether the shape of the shoe in general makes it a creeper).

Here, in Los Angeles this outfit is just perfect on a nice sunny spring day like today. In London, you are bringing everyone a bit of sun. I love the skirt! Oh, and the shoes are pretty fantastic also.

I love the skirt.
I have to say, Susie, how can you afford all of these expensive clothes?
You have about two posts a day and I’ve never heard you talk about work. It just seems strange to me.
^I don’t know if this is a recent thing, but I’ve definitely read plenty of Susie talking about work here…(and also, even if she didn’t- why would one need to make any reference to work on a blog that is about what she likes in fashion?)
ohh.. I love it! Espacially Furla bag and Prada shoes!
That skirt is brilliant. And the collar is a great little touch 😀
I’m not really sure about the shoes, but here it looks like they were made to be part of this outfit!
I am LOVING all the bright colors! This young fashionista looks like she’s 12 years old but more power to her! I could totally see myself rocking the bright colors on a sunny or gloomy day. If you’re into fashion and want a great website to check out on the latest fashion trends or to just see what your fellow fashionistas are doing these days, check out: blogs.fashionclub.com 🙂 It’s a great website ran by FIDM/Fashion Institute of Design & Merchandising in LA!

THis outfit is perfect the textures and colours of the skirt and shoes off-set by the plain tee, lovely!
That skirt is INCREDIBLE. I can’t get over it. It’s like mom and daughter fused into one. 🙂 Maybe just because my mom quilts…lol
Cute! ^^
“I hold my head high and defend my choice.” I admire u a lot for sticking to what u want and like without worrying so much about what other people say or think. Ur blog is such an inspiration! U look very cute!! Love the whole outfit!
You are literally one of two people I know who legitimately can wear those shoes. Just saying…

The Cat Hag
Katie M: Yeah, I couldn’t let them get away despite the proliferation of them…
Belle: Thanks – will ask the Pixie Market girls to find out more‚Ķ
Carnivorous Seaweed: If it’s not entirely clear what I do, then you perhaps don’t read everything I write (which is ok‚Ķ!) – I blog full time, write freelance and work with brands on a freelance basis‚Ķ. that’s the general gist of it‚Ķ.
Dru: Thanks for rebuttal and yes, I love the way the buttons are covered up with the fabric too… details like that lessen the WTF factor of the skirt….
Brandon: Who’s the other person???
As always, thanks for all the comments on a SUNNY outfit‚Ķ it’s relentless in London at the moment?
Ah man I adore those Prada shoes 😀
Seeing this Furla candy bag all over the place, going slightly gaga for it.

Lovely ensemble!
Yessss!! I am so with you on this. Jil Sander/Prada SS11 is seriously taking over me… (even my breakfast is starting to look all colour blocked and bright… orange juice, bananas, grapefruits).
This look is spot on perfection. I love every single element. xx
I love it in a photographic setting, I would love to see the look in a cafe or supermarket. I wonder can something be too colorful?
My jealousy knows no bounds…the shoes! In fact the whole outfit is amazing!
