Press return for LHR.
Reboot.
Hoping syntax errors don't occur in process. That's my version of MS DOS commands that I will hopefully follow through today as I return home after a slightly disjointed jaunt from London to New York to London to Stockholm and back to London again, along the way collecting hotel toiletries aplenty (ever grateful to Skeppsholmen Hotel for stocking Byredo products – cheers, you'll keep my hair olivi-o fresh for a few washes yet).
One lazy reblog action for the road here. Nowness put out an open call for fashion film treatments in partnership with creative network The Idealists. Would have loved to have seen what came through but for now, one of the resulting comissioned treatments is this jucily succinct and cute short by LA-based filmmaker Molly Schiot inspired by Miu Miu's resort 2011 collection which has lately been invading my brain. I can't find the scans but Lucy Ewing styled it up to an absolute treat for The Sunday Times Style recently. I sort of wish Miu Miu would create some bonus extras like the fantasy lookbooks that Prada does to better expand on their collections especially when so much can be done with resort 2011's dots, stripes and apples. This short though tickes part of the bill, making total sense when you pair it with images of the collection. I'm finally convinced after several film/image interpretations of the collection that apple printed flares along with a stack of bangles is a surefire way to happy days.
