Power Puff Colours

Strictly THIS shade of pink isn't a Power Puff colour but it does fit in ever so nicely into the whole Power Puff world so just go with it, bend and embrace the title because I can't think of a better one at 8am in the morning.  I have some New Buy/New Acquisition things to make up for because in the craze of fashion week, my wardrobe burgeoned a bit and in the midst of my enthusing for all the fantastic collections that came out, some of my more juvenile "Oh my GAWD!  I LUV THIS!" posts fell by the wayside.  Shame, no?  Or not…

Well, alright, it isn't just a simple case of OH MY GAWD, this is LUSH and when you're forking over moolah for a Prada jumper, it can't just be a "Hmmm…wells… I just picked this up on the way to Waitrose…".  Oh gosh, I suppose those with more rarified lifestyles do JUST that.  In any case, this was a completely pre-meditated buy, one that started with my reconciliation with the fact that Prada A/W 10-11 and my fried-egg boobs and lack of waist definition were never gonna get on (though, hopefully some of those chunky socks are coming my way soon if I harass the Old Bond Street store enough times…) so instead, I turned to pre-fall with its Brady Bunch camo/retro moment.  Then in their conceptual lookbooks (a seasonal treat, no?) OMA chose to pair this jumper with a bunny head, my resolve was further strengthened.

Pradapink

I needed a big, pink Prada hug which incidentally fell in step with these shades and I was also in Paris where lack of food and sleep makes for some funny notions that pop into the head.  So here it is, the pink hug that will be keeping me cosy, smiley and VERY pink for what I predict is a long winter that has already begun with the chill that has set in at night…

With my Louise Gray skirt, the fluffy pink onslaught is complete.

Well, I don't need to repeat the 'Think Pink' song that I've dropped ENOUGH times on this blog…

Going back to Power Puff colours, I also need to talk about this Emilio de la Morena coat from his A/W 10-11 collection, which sadly isn't for keeps but I did get a kick out of wearing it for a full day, with EVERYONE gasping and ooh-ing and aah-ing over it and asking "Is it Prada, Balenciaga etc…?"… Emilio de La Morena isn't known for his outerwear so much as his structural wow-factor dresses but with a BIG pocketed-vision, a Cristobal Balenciaga-egg-like shape, lots of zippers and poppers and that perfect shade of powder blue, this coat widens Emilio's scope immensely…

Is there such thing as a blogger's coat given that these pockets can accomodate digi cam (well not a DSLR but that should be slung over with a pretty strap anyway), Flip, Blackberry and all the usual Oyster card/cash stuff…

  2. Oh my! This outfit is too brilliant for words! The colours, the shapes & textures…That Emilio de Morena coat is amazing! Love the sweater & textured skirt…and of course, the Stella shoes (snap! I have them in pink, haha).
    xx

  3. The textures from the jumper and skirt remind me of blankets that were in my grandparents house, somewhere that was safe and cozy in the winter. Also, that particular shade of pink is lovely <3

  4. Susie, not only is that an awesome sweater (texture, color, shape, oversize-ness), but you managed to find the perfect jacket to compliment it. It’s true, I would have probably said it’s Balenciaga, to bad you couldn’t keep it. Anyhow, again, great job on getting the sweater, I would honestly buy anything if the model had an animal head on her (bet it bunny or wolf) 🙂
    xx

  5. i love the pastel colors you are wearing….and the overall outfit is cool, fun and lovely! now i can get my knitted jacket out of the closet. =)

  6. lol the skirt remindes me of this very chic bath mat I have actually LOL, only you could rock it,
I love the woven sweater, the style is very unique and reminds me of being at the cottage in the autumn, only pink!!
I can’t rock over sized coats the way you do, I have so many and always end up taking them off for a leather bomber jacket … le sigh …
