NY Vegging

>> Just in case, it wasn't entirely clear from previous posts, I'm now in New York until the end of fashion week – there is plenty of good reason why I'm here insanely early before fashion week starts but I can't say now.  I am revelling in the simple pleasure of just vegging out at my NY second home, the Soho Grand, seeing as the summer has flown by without a real holiday (I'm racking my brains trying to remember where June, July and August went and what they were spent doing… but no discernable holiday that wasn't related to the blog/work etc was taken…).  I may also be nicking a Bank Holiday from the Americans by adopting Labour Day Weekend (I still spell it 'ou') as my ultimate veg-out time before the madness begins next week.

This is what I'll be looking at as I whazz through 200+ channel and eat one too many room service fries.  When I did pull myself away from fries and Mad Men repeats, I made it to the Barney's Warehouse sale in its final weekend it is a mountain of amazing discounts on everything that comes to mind from the past few seasons.  I'm going to go back for more in the final day of discounting but for now, I came away with a pair of Celine trousers, a Jil Sander knit (no photographic evidence whilst I'm moored up in my room…) and this Sacai bra that will make up one half of an ornate vegging out outfit…

The details in the bra also pick up these rose gold tones which have come with me in my suitcase… the jewellery might be overkill for vegging out though…

  1. *in love* with the bra. usually the kind i go for… so comfy and stylish. as usual, you pick the best things ever. one day you have to teach me (a blog post would suffice!) how to do that in the midst of sales. 🙂

  2. Haha just the idea of a “veg out outfit” is funny. I am happy to say I will be in New York for two weeks. I am looking forward to you speaking at the IFB conference. I doubt I will see you at the tents but if I do I will try to sneak in a hello without sounding like a fangirl.

  3. I would like to invite you to participate in this online questionnaire. It is analyzing the current situation for luxury brands using social networking.
Thank you for participating in this short questionnaire. Your opinion is strongly needed. I am sorry that it is split into 2 sections. I would very much welcome if you could fill out both.
    Thank you again.
