>> Sadly I was a bit late for my appointment with Charlie le Mindu and also running late for a birthday bonanza with the Lau clan, so my devoted time to all things hair was cut short. Some sort of a cut IS imminent but Charlie basically echoed the sentiments of every hairdresser I've ever been to…. "Your hair is in SUCH great condition…I love it this long!" which sort of dents the whole "Should I cut it argument?" They also ask questions about conditioner/special treatment and I usually reply back with…"Errr… it's whatever shampoo I can be bothered to carry from the supermarket really… Pantene, L'Oreal, Tressemme… whatever has a 2 for 1 offer!" Normally you get an aghast face from hairdresser because then they know they can't pimp you any of their ¬£15-a-bottle shampoos. Charlie did say that if your hair is in good nick, you don't really need good shampoos.
(With Topshop satin jacket, Christopher Kane t-shirt, ASOS Black skirt, Gemma Degara floral belt, vintage lace trousers, Irregular Choice shoes)
Charlie quickly decided, the hair needed a bit of an ooomph and a wave and so started pinning up the tonged curls. We gabbed about Hong Kong where Charlie le Mindu has recently been, creating the tour costumes for Canto-Pop star Eason Chan. Me thinks the local tabloids out there had a bit of a field day with his hairy creations. 45 minutes later and my hair was not too far off Farah Fawcett-esque waviness, the kind that both my mother and I craved collectively (well, at least my mum actually got there with a perm… I played with foam rollers and got NOWHERE)…
Two sadly's in one post when it was a fun fun fun experience is very sad indeed. I knew with the weight of my hair though curl would be gone by midnight and after dinner, the curl did indeed start waning… I'm now currently sporting bed head gone wrong. The great thing is, it stills smells of Elnett which I LOVE (not liking the freaky Cheryl Cole impression on the new pink ones though…).
Still, as fleeting as it was, I do need to get drastic with the barnet despite hairdressers' protestations… a dye job is in order too… will be giving Charlie a call asap in between his many jaunts around the world…
You look amazing! And I would smell Elnett all day if it was possible…(For the record, I don’t sniff Elnett, I can’t imagine that being good for you.)
you look super cute and i am in love with those pants!
I used to buy Paul Mitchell (but you’re a dude? yea I have long’ish Braveheart hair)…but I honestly think ‘designer’ hair products do no better. I have that Kane tee but in White… BUY SCOTTISH! While we’re on that subject, how incredible is Elliot’s a/w line…! It’s all about the Scots invasion! We’re taking over these isles!
Gosh it looks beautiful – really like it. Maybe you could have a soft perm on yours too?
Loving the ASOS skirt.

I love what you are wearing Susie!!!
Your hair is so healthy loooking and long… Do you plan to EVER cut it short? 🙂
aw those curls look gorgeous!!
Your hair looks great, I love your skirt. Even the t-shirt is nice, would simply wear it with jeans.
Elnett is god’s gift to us all… Hmm I looked at that Christopher Kane tee before in Liberty and couldn’t work out if it was too creepy or not. Here it does look cool, especially because your bouffant is providing a suitable wig for the doll’s face, but I still think ifI owned it, I’d wake up in the middle of the night panicking after seeing those eerie eyes peering out of the closet at me…
xx
Duck

Excellentissime! sorry I’m speaking french. But your little stuff with curled flowers and your curled hair produce the best association.
That’s one hell of a romantic look!!! Love the way you combine the strong pieces together. The hair definitely goed with the outfit. If I hadn’t read your whole scoop I was thinking you’re pulling off a Cheryl Cole-er (not sure if that’s such a good thang though…)
Much love from the Netherlands!

OH MY GOODNESS! YOU LOOK SOOO ADORABLE!!! I love the loose curls on you!
But on a serious note, are you thinking of cutting your hair totally short? Your hair has become your look! Are you sure about this?!?!
Ok maybe these are just issues I’m having because I’ve become attached to your fridge =S
I’m sure if you do cut your hair short that you would still look sensational!
LOVE LOVE LOVE LOVE your hair!! It looks so good curled.
You look amazing! I esp dig the lace trousers. 🙂

The hair looks great no matter what you do to it- I remember one long-ago post where you had it crimped and it created some awesome poofiness :). The curls here go beautifully with the texture of your skirt and belt- sounds weird to say so, but I love the softness of the look.
Amazing!!!
