I may have got the intonations wrong in that Gaga line in the title but then again, the point is not to get Gaga right but to work in Ra into yet another title. You didn't think I left the store with nothing in hand did ya…
To be fair, I hadn't really done any serious splurges in the past few months so when I was confronted with so many things in such an inspiring atmosphere, I sort of went a bit loopy. The press group I was travelling around with probably thought I had never seen say a Peter Jensen top before judging by the way I was acting. I got a bit giggly, hysterical and went up to randoms exclaiming "Isn't this store amazing?!" Clearly I was being a bit of an irrational twit… you can of course buy a lot of the things at Ra elsewhere… that said, I did try to buy things that a) I had never seen before or b) were Ra-specific…
First up… a Peter Jensen top from S/S 10 that I haven't come across online or in-store as yet. This could be down to my tendency to go into solid hibernation. I love the button down denim front and then the entirely see-through tulle back which is why it needs to be counteracted with a few layers or two just to tone down the err…"sexy back"…
The next thing to counteract the back was this Elise Gettliffe fluffy bum bag. Ra is selling a few Antwerp graduate collections and Gettliffe's menswear rail looked especially enticing despite the oversized fits. I especially loved the prints that Gettliffe developed together with rough-hewn fabrics. This was probably the tamest bit of the collection but at the very least, it is Ra-specific…
This wasn't from Ra but was also another 'back' counteracter… Corrie Williamson has been collaborating with knitwear label Cooperative Designs for the last few seasons and this is from the current S/S 10 collection… the mix of wood grains and metal hardware really enhances the often Bauhaus-inspired lines of Cooperative's stuff. In my case, I'm just adding a handsome bit of jangling distraction from zee back…
(Worn with Swash skirt, vintage Loewe trousers, Alexander Wang wedges)
Good choices! That bum bag is a delight.

How could you resist it would have been rude not to!
Love the Swash skirt too.
I like the old-school loafers. The transparent top with the denim bustier in combination with the skirt with print on top and the pants is a tough outfit. There are a lot of style mixes in one.Not sure about it, but it is a nice inspiration.
Love your blog:)

It’d be so easy for one to overdo an outfit like that, but once again you do it perfectly. Am I the only one reminded of Gaultier’s bustier from his 1997 (in)famous men’s collection, when looking at the Peter Jensen top? I love it.
I like so much your outfit!!! the bag is great and I like the top.
