>> I was supposed to be at the New Gen announcement yesterday and of course this is belated, but I did want to say congratulations to all those that got New Gen sponsorship for S/S 11 for London Fashion Week and a special special congrats to the newbies that are joining New Gen. I was really really chuffed to be asked to be on the selection panel for this season's New Gen and so names like JS Lee, Fannie Schiavoni, Yang Du and Chau Har Lee coming through to the exhibition/installation selection is music to my ears. Craig Lawrence will be doing a presentation along with my beloved Louise Gray. In New Gen show news, David Koma, Michael van der Ham and Holly Fulton will be showing and finally, Mary Katrantzou will get her own show (not known whether Mark Fast will show in Paris or not due to ANDAM prize nomination…).
P.S. During the selection process and interviews, seeing sneak peek preview sketches of S/S 11 collections was making me almost pee a little with excitement. Peeing in front of Sarah Mower would have been a tad embarrassing no…?
I am so excited about this, some really talented designers got the funding they need *this time* cough cough. I don’t want to be a meanie but I don’t really think Mark Fast is the most deserving of an ANDAM prize, I still don’t see him as much more than a one-trick pony
xx

I still don’t see him as much more than a one-trick pony….

Such a great class photo! What is this about peeing in front of Sarah Mower?
Fab! I recently did an interview with Chau, love her work! Great to see she’s getting recognised for what she does.
