>> Has anyone taken a good hard look through Patternity's wonderful picture blog of carefully collated patterned wonders? I discovered it through Supermarket Sarah's wall (she's taking residency at London Selfridges' Concept Room from tomorrow… see you there…). Below is merely a sample of the findings on Patternity and that's only digging back a few pages…
I'm mid press-day-doing at the moment and since they're running till the end of the month, I've got a few weeks to go yet before I can finally construct my very own A/W 10-11 Patternity wall… I've spied so many an interesting geometric print already that 75% of the wall is already full but I'll wait it out just in case something else should pop up.
In the spirit of my building this A/W 10-11 Patternity wall, I thought it was high time for another outfit 'challenge'. Quite literally, this is a challenge and a half and yup, I don't make things easy for myself or others. This time, I'm trying to 'Bung as many patterns, NOT including florals, stripes and animal prints into an outfit…' I could only fit six without feeling like a headache was about to come on… plus the fact that I was trying to only go for the sort of geometric crazy patterns, that Patternity seem to be very good at sourcing, as well as having the sun boring down on me. As usual, outfit responses on comments or via email please….
I may go for an all encompassing outfit/A/W 10-11 patternity findings wall that will definitely try and bust out of this 600px wide column…
That is a beautiful mix, and a rather amazing picture.

Funny, I always use a headache of patterns as the collective noun, and often describe my outfits that way. Tomorrow I shall see what I can come up with…

I love patterns. If I could, I would only wear pattern suits. It is good to see this collection of patterns, notably the one tagged Cecil beaton, although nothing can equal Christian Lacroix’s mastership of all things pattern (I don’t know if you have read his latest book, which might just be his last?)
Thanks for sharing!
