>> There weren't that many goofing around moments in Paris where shows were SERIOUSLY packed, presentations were SERIOUSLY lofty and everyone was talking SERIOUS ¬£$¬£$. Still at the Joyce Gallery in Palais Royal, late one night after a day jam packed with shows when my face is genuinely worn down (see those tired eyes in action…) lay the Maison Michel showroom where I stole a few moments with THOSE bunny ears… the ones that have inspired a gazillion knock-offs and DIY attempts.  There were also some SERIOUS hats… bowlers, bejewelled headbands, trilbys etc that have all winged their way over to many a famous nonchalantly cool hat-wearer… but it was the bunny ears in particular that immediately perked me up.  Actually this seems incredibly textbook stuff.  Why should I even be explaining why a lace bunny ear is perking me up?  Headgear.  Ridiculously cute.  A bit of whimsy courtesy of the itty bitty frog print.  On my head when hair happens to be cooperating.  A stolen moment in Paris when a label like Maison Michel shouldn't be on my head.  Whats.Not.To.Like.

  1. You suit those ears so well! The best I’ve seen them actually, your white polka dots seem to pick up on the texture almost.
Agreed- bunnies and headbands are some of my favourite things, what’s not to like.

  2. I remember you saying you don’t like to be called ‘cute’, but hey, these look like you were born with them – Sooooo cuuuuuute! (Sorry, won’t say it again)

  3. You look adorable in those ears Susie, and happy too!
I admit that when I first saw them I had planned to attempt to make a pair for myself and then I promptly forgot about it. Goes to show how fast fashion is always moving forward and everyone is constantly on to the next thing. I’m particularly fond of the pair with the veil and this is a nice little reminder that I have some unfinished plans worth revisiting!

  4. love the ears but i think what i love more is the layering of your sheer polka dot blouse against your camel coat! love the blog!

  5. I LOVE the ears. Would wear them in a second- they look so good with your hair. but most of all….I love the title of this post! Your post titles continually amuse me. Thank you!

  6. Ooo, I love when the lace draped over your fringe in the first picture — that, combined with the ears, gives a nice swoony effect.

  7. They look really adorable on you! I love the lace ones with the veil. It really suits you with a fringe. I keep on thinking I might indulge in this trend, but I have a feeling I would look ridiculous!

  8. Love the lace ones, they’re so understated. Well, as understated as bunny ears can be. If only my mum could hear me now…

  9. sweat and if were in white could be some alice in wonderland theme, lovely..

  10. oo hope you stole them haha you’d wear them forever. gives dressing as a bunny a better name after so many fluffy ears of the past!

  11. Why wouldn;t any man want to have sex with a rabbit? It is better than a goat or horse, I’d say. I hear they
re close to being germ-free, too. Except rabies…

  12. Your goth-bunny-ears rock! love the fashion statement of “I am me!” I don’t rely on brands or trends. I like to create my own style. It’s great that I discovered magnetic jewelries from ulinxjewelry.com. I saw this vlogger on youtube(http://www.youtube.com/user/ulinxjewelry), ARose186 did a demo on how to mix-match-swap and create your own jewelery using magnetic pieces that so easy to assemble. It’s awesome how a single set of bracelet can transform into a ring, an armband, an charm bracelet..I feel like a child putting things together and designing my own jewelry that is uniquely “me”! i just had to follow them on twitter: http://twitter.com/#!/ULINXJewelry and Like them on facebook: http://www.facebook.com/ulinxjewelry
