>> When in doubt… use colours from Noddy for instant cheer as G-Star did in their A/W 10-11 show.  The resee certainly gave me a morning jolt on Wednesday.  For some reason, I had a combination of Noddy, Captain Bird's Eye (the old one, not the cheesy young one), fisherman, airline stewardesses and the Jetsons all colliding which made a pretty good trek back through the past.

If Noddy's red top was missing from the mix, then my Issey Miyake skirt borrowed from Fanny and the Cave had some part to play.

  1. Beautiful colours… I love issey miyake he’s such a talent even if the skirt is not yours… Me and my friend spend hours trawling the internet in a desperate hope that some kind of mildly affordable half decent copy of his incredible pleats please dresses might become available… When she’s a published novelist and I’m a designer then who knows… Tehe

  2. The bright yellow immediately transported me to Sesame Street (what was the name of the big yellow bird again?), but when we got to blue it got better… Especially love the little hat; oh-so-intricate, like a delicious macaroon.

  3. I agree, this was a smatering of old favorites. The shapes were stocky. I will also be discussing it on my blog soon.

  5. Ooooh, I do like the sunny side up yellow! Reminds me of Karen Walkers little splashes in her The Village S/S10 collection.
Love very muchly your jacket…and the colour of your skirt, pretty choice! (Not as in a pretty aka lovely option but as in pretty=very, choice=awesome)

  6. Just seeing the noddy photo intrigued me to read the post, and now I’ve got the theme tune well and truly stuck in my head!!
Love that yellow cardigan, looks pretty cosy. But what’s with that hat, is it half beanie??

  7. That yello wjacket with the toggles, and the blue skirt both need to get in my closet this instant.

  8. oh wow wow wow. so much nice in this entry and the ones after this [like further into NYFW, so confused how to say this] but didn’t know where to stop scrolling. topshop is burbling over and just really accessible isn’t it. taht sheepskin bumbag is sexy and great. your outfit here is like the adult version of you. very nice. that coat is insanely good. those chunky braided knits, i love those too. alexander wang is wow, surprised me too, really appealing. love the 1st openwork jacket especially and the layered see thrus in the net dress with net tights. oh AND the “windbreakers”, so clean, and a fresh classy. and too funny, noddy. the beloved and be-hated too. i would have worn that cardigan in my teems, i was so into nerdy-spacey. anyway, wow, greatness all over.

  9. That face! You look so beautiful in the last picture, ladylike + elegance suits you. I suspect that you are one of those girls who will become more and more beautiful growing older.
