>> I've still yet to visit Ra, the very EGG-citing new store I discovered last time I was in Antwerp, in its finished state. The opening party sounded like a riot, the sawdust has settled and it's still one of the most ambitious retail undertakings I've seen from 2009. Until I get myself to Antwerp again (no doubt, I'll be there for the Royal Academy graduate show…), I took another look at their website which gave me a selection of polaroids proving that a bookstore, CD corner, mini-cinema, luxury vintage clothing area, a mini woodland, a proper thatched cottage, a moss garden and a chicken shed can all exist within one space…
…alongside an EXTREMELY eclectic range of labels. I listed them out in words in my last post about Ra but the e-shop for Ra that is still in construction gives a more visual story. The scary thing is that this isn't the FULL list of labels that Ra stocks in-store but you get the idea…
Once the e-shop is fully up and running, it shall be a marvellous thing indeed browsing through recent Antwerp graduate collections (particularly excited about Lena Lumelsky), lolita offerings from Closet Child, chaps made out of chains by Yuima Nakazato, menswear pieces for the other half (Frank Leder and Lenny Pier Ramos particularly) and all the other usual suspects that tick the right boxes (Peter Jensen, Charles Anastase, Ann Sofie Back, Richard Nicoll etc etc)…
Going to Antwerp soon and this is definately going to be visited! Thanks Susie xx

This blog never ceases to make my day. Your outfits are both ridiculous and splendid, and I applaud your spirit and unique taste. If only everyone dressed to their fancy, this world would be a much more interesting place. Bravo!!
RA RA RA I like to spend my Wednesday and Saturday afternoons there… Shopping a lil and drinkin coffee while hanging around with friends… The place has become on my favorite hang outs!!! And they’re on sale right now!! Like omg I’m dying! Gonna be eating pasta for the rest of the month…

I live in Antwerp and it’s a very inspiring place for fashion! Many good (vintage) shops and our Royal Academy has grown to a legend for bringing new designers. I didn’t visit this shop yet but i will very soon 🙂 thank you! And maybe, i’ll see you in Antwerp! I’m always up for a nice chat!
OMG I will be (hopefully) studying in Brussels this summer. I will stop there when I visit Antwerp.

The moss garden looks like Totoro’s tree hole home! DO you know that cartoon? 🙂
Coco/Melissa: Hope to see you both at the show!
Moi: Brussels has its charm too…. more of a secret fashion city than Antwerp…
All Women Stalker: OF COURSE! That film was played and RE-PLAYED in the house of Lau…
Oh my gosh, everytime I read your blog I realise I should probably have more fun with my clothes, it’s of negative benefit living in Sheffield though. Ah for the bright shops of anywhere else
