Heading to Violetville

>> I mentioned yesterday that vintage sellers are just narrowing the search down to a mere five minutes browsing time and one more has joined the migration from eBay store to e-store where bids are a thing of the past i.e. I may no longer have to set my alarm at odd times in the morning to get what I want (I always oversleep those eBay alarm alerts anyway…).

I'm sure most of you will be familiar with Violetville, whose items on eBay invariably crop up, WHATEVER I'm searching for.  18 pages on her eBay store, and a mix of Buy-it-Now options as well as traditional biddable items is testament to the amount of stock that Tina regularly buys in.  That her items are very often "actually old", as in older than fifty years often makes me wonder where she gets her stash from.  I'm making this all sound very mercantile and slightly like an underground drug's den but I am genuinely always impressed with Violetville's commitment to vintage that is special, dramatic and well, old.

She too has made the transition to the big e-shop screen and it's about to launch today I hear…  here's a sneak peek of the site but for now, it's just a ticking clock of vintage clicking

Violetville

There's already a lot on the site though she says there's still a lot to add… I'm dashing out but this is just a note to say, "Hear ye Hear ye!  Another vintage e-store is a cometh!"

  1. Intriguing. A woman I know who owns a vintage home shop and spends her life scouring car boot fairs, auctions home clearance sales for rare bits and pieces, it’s a full time job

  2. mmm maybe she asaults the closets of her mother & aunts like I do jajajaja, the firt outfit in the collage looks like something Chloe S. would wear also the ruched pinkish skirt w/black top and big neckie looks amazing

  3. Wow, looks awesome! She’s gorge.
Anything’s got to beat the stress of last minute ebay sniping, or worse – losing!

  4. Oh I love Violetville. Tina, the owner and gorgeous model, really has an eye. We went shopping together at the Pasadena Rose Bowl and I loved everything she picked out. And the best part? She’s a total sweetheart. Not an ounce of pretension or cattiness. She’s a doll.

  5. Tina is an amazing lady! She works very very hard to find these vintage gems- always authentic, always (as Susie said) OLD, and the condition and quality is always on point. Worth every penny!

  6. Violetville’s store looks great! If you vintage lovers are looking for a genuine vintage watch to complete the look, head to Watch Me Go – a treasure trove of vintage, retro and fashion watches with free UK delivery. http://www.watchmego.co.uk

  7. I used to love Violetvilles stuff on Market Publique. Great to see their new website (although I am feeling a little green eyed at the moment). The items are amazing and her photographs are always fab.
I’m just having a super look at Watchmego.co.uk, thanks JuliaB for pointing that one out…
